Pelighted and relieved to hear that one and a half pounds a week is both fantastic and realistic. I’ve only managed a bit under one pound for the past 10 weeks (I need to lose 2 stone), though I can say that my body fat has decreased a couple of points maybe ‘cos I’m doing 10 mins exercise a day. I shall look further on your site to see if you have anything to say about this bloody metabolism thingy, which appears to out of shape like an old motor, and even bit of milk in your tea is going to stop it from firing properly. Heck, I’ve given up potatoes, wheat (except in base of quiches), Ryvita, porridge, beer and all processed foods (OK, so I have smoked mackerel)…even the most expensive honey, and I’m not even able able to lose 1lb! I AM reading, as you suggest — I’ve bought 15 books in the last 2 months; considering they are all countercultural (i.e. low-fat is bad, ’5-a-day’ is a mantra without foundation, low-carb is good), they have a lot that they DISagree about!
