The Mind is Where a Diet Begins
My wife told me today that I think like a fat person. When she said that it made me shut up and listen, which for me is a milestone for my personality. She went on to say that I needed to stop thinking about food like a fat person and then made the analogy to a poor person and money. She further went on and said that a poor person is always concerned about money because that is what they do. A poor person worries about the rent and about the bills like a fat person worries about what they are going to do next about food. I was shocked because she was right.
I came to realize at that moment in my attempt to lose weight I plan my meals and my exercise down to an exact science. I worry about what I am going to eat and when I am going to eat and where I am going to eat. Food has become an integral portion of my thought process. She went on to tell me that I need to kind of chill out and let it happen, that I just need to relax and do the things that I know need to be done. If I pack my lunch just pack what is good. If I go to the store just get the food that will not expand my waist. She went on to say, and I then realized, that I need to stop forcing my thoughts into being healthy and living right and stop just trying so darn hard.
Since that moment in time I have come to realize that in order to be thin I need to stop manifesting fat thoughts so often. I need to approach my life as a thin person that is just below the skin. I have come to realize that the body will go where the mind leads it and I have been leading my body to being fat by the thoughts I have all too often. I have resolved myself to stop assuming I am fat and start living like a thinner person. I have obtained the knowledge to achieve weight loss and I just need to start living in such a way that my mind generates positive thoughts without pulling a brain muscle.
Once again I have learned that to achieve weight loss I need to start that journey in the mind. Once again I have realized that weight loss really begins in the thought processes and when those thoughts turn into action is when I lose the weight. I have learned that the body will go where the mind leads it and I am looking forward to the journey.
Diet is also important. Drink plenty of water to keep your body hydrated and ensure you eat plenty of vitamin rich foods for a boost to your hair, skin and health. Supplements are a second best option, but fresh is best. Juicing your own juice is a superb way to ensure you are getting the freshest possible nutrients. Your body and skin will thank you for it!
I totally agree with you. If you don’t have the motivation to lose weight you will never lose weight. You have to set your mind and goals first before you could take some actions.
