The Biggest Loser Season 8 is set to premier on September 15, 2009.  The popularity of The Biggest Loser has thrust it into the forefront of reality television shows today.  Some critics state that it is not really reality because the contestants are “locked” away hidden from the true temptations the world has to offer.   What the loyal fans of The Biggest Loser know right from the start is that this show is as based in reality pretty much as deep as a person can get! 

The players that are “locked” on the ranch are learning to deal with weight loss and exercise at what can only be considered a college level.  Sure they do not have the daily temptations but they are learning to deal with obesity.  Behind the scenes, here at I Choose Thin, we see thousands of search  engine requests asking for information on “where are The Biggest Loser players now?”  Sure there are many people looking to discover those former players that have gained back their former weight, but that is really all part of the weight loss journey. 

No matter who you are, obesity is very similar to being an alcoholic because it is so easy to slip back to the old habits and experience the same problems.  Whether an obese person is on The Biggest loser or not, bears little relevance to whether they gain back all their weight again.  The Biggest Loser is really just a collection of unknown people that have obesity in common.  The big difference is that the entire episode is filmed and broadcast around the world.  Whether or not a person gains their weight back again sheds no ill light on the show itself.  People are just people, wherever they may be seen and The Biggest Loser Weight Loss Ranch makes no difference at all, in the long run, when discussing individual weight loss.  Circumstances do not make the man, they  reveal him.

Season eight of The Biggest Loser will be full of two hour episodes and will be broadcast on Tuesdays at 8PM ET.  This season has done away with couples and have gone back to singles.  We are once again also very curious to see if the BodyBugg will be worn by all contestants once again throughout the season.  This little tool has played in a big way behind the scenes and has received very little press as to that fact.
