The Biggest Loser Recap / Review October 13 2009
The Biggest Loser recap and review for the episode that was aired on October 13 2009 began with all of the players walking up to a temptation. Allison told the players that on the month they have been on the ranch they have formed bonds of friendship and that was all about to end. Allison told them all that as of today they were forming teams that were Blue and Black. The power to choose the teams would be done by the player that won the temptation. There was a huge roulette wheel that was at least 20 feet in diameter and each stop of the wheel could bring money or calories. On each spot was a covered silver dish. Allison then asked who wanted to play the game. One by one Allison asked each player if they were in the game or out of the game. Each player said they were going to play, except for Abbey. The first person to spin the wheel was Rudy and when he lifted the platter there was a slice of chocolate cake with 1,000 calories. Rebecca spun next and won a donut and gained 280 calories. Allen spun next and when he lifted the lid he had a 100 calorie cupcake. Danny spun the wheel next andhe found a huge chocolate cupcake loaded with 780 calories. Tracy stepped forward and ALlensaid the wind started to blow and it was like magic filled the air and everyone felt it. The very first pick from Tracey gained her the golden ticket. Rebecca was really mad and the rest of the players were ticked off. Allen said her win was not natural because she had the ability to gain control whenever she needed to or whenever she wanted to gain that control. Allen thought it was downright creepy. By winning this challenge, Tracey had gained control over who would be on what team.
Tracey was gloating after the commercial break and decide who would get to train with Bob Harper or jillian Michaels. Daniel said he expected her to stack the teams in her favor. Shay said through a tearful face that she really did not have control becausethey were all great players. Dina told America that she wanted to be on the same team as Rudy. Rudy told Dina that she will be happy to learn she could depend on herself and lose the weight because of herself. As the show progressed all of the players whined about what Tracey would do. Soon we saw Jillian and Bob walk up through the grotto andBob was not surprised Tracy won the golden ticket that gave her the power to choose.
Soon Allison asked Tracey who she wanted to train with because she had first pick. To every one’samazement, Tracey choseBob Harper to be her trainer. The next moment America heard Jillian say that Tracey chose Bob Harper because Tracey was running from her “ass whippings” that she delivered her. Jillian said all she wanted to do was pound Tracey, but Tracey was running away. The look on Bob’s face was total shock that he was chosen to be Tracey’s trainer. Tracey was now on the Blue Team.
The next choice was Daniel to be on The Black Team. Then Coach Moe was brought over to the Blue Team followed by Shay on the Black Team. Shay was happy and Tracey said she wanted to keep Shay with Daniel. Allen was then brought to the Black Team and Abbey was then sent to the Black Team. Liz started to cry and then was sent to the Blue Team, but she was crying because she was afraid she would not get her partner. Then Tracey said “Liz, I am sorry” and then pulled Danny away from Liz and put him on her, the Blue Team. Danny was really made and he told America he was looking for blood on the shirt because he felt as if Tracey put a knife in his back. next Tracey put Rudy on the Blue Team and then Amanda on the Black Team. Bob rolled his eyes and gave Amanda a hug as she went to Jillian’s team. Bob told America that he was sad because he really connected with Amanda. Tracey told America that she no longer was trying to please people and was only concerned with pleasing herself as there was a cut away to a commercial.
With Rebecca and Dina left Tracey put Rebecca on the Blue Team and Dina to the Black Team. Amanda hugged and cried Rebecca and soon all of the players were sort of saying goodbye and sappy, gloomy music showed how emotional the choices were that Tracey had made. Danny then told America that this was the beginning of game on. Dina was furious and yelling in her room and spoke to everyone and soon everyone spoke how they did not like Tracey andLiz said she was going to send “her ass home.” Liz said to the other (Black Team) that Tracey was going home andthat she would be Tracey’s friend to her face and lie to her andthen send her home the first chance that she had. Liz told ALL of the other players that it was time for Tracey to win the game at home.
Back in the gym Jillian and Bob both said that they had to beat the crap out of all the players to get them away from the drama. Jillian then told Amanda that she could only stop running if she had to throw up. As Amanda ran out of the gym Jillian came out to check and make sure that it was vomit that was coming out of her mouth. Liz rehearsedonce again to America that it had become her mission to send Tracey home. Then we saw Liz go down in the gym and medics appeared from off camera. They kept asking Liz to open her eyes and then she stood up andwhen Bob asked how she was she said….”I will live.” Liz then told America that she passed out because she had an agenda to send Tracey home. Jillian then asked Liz “what happens when you get a southern woman mad?” The repose from Liz was “we get even!”
Dina said that Jillian wanted her to jump up onto a stool and that was scary because the stool was her worst thing to do. Dina could not make the tiny leap onto the stool. Jillian told her that she needed to stop NOT changing her life and until she jumped up onto the platform there would be no change in her life. Jillian said that if she could not jump onto that small platform, she would only be learning calories and not really changing her life. Rudy told her that she needed to get in that gym and jump up onto that platform. It was sort of silly to watch her so afraid to jump up onto the 12 inch high platform. Dina kept NOT jumping onto the platform and Moe told her to just do it. Rudy then said they had to go eat and that Dina just had to make it happen. As the show turned to commercials we saw the shadows of Dina approaching the platform, and NOT jumping onto the platform.
After the commercial Bob was in the supermarket doing an impromptu commercial for a chicken and turkey company. Bob then made wraps for everyone and said that vegetables could be a free for all and then the commercial was over and we were all at the next challenge. This was the first time this season the Blue and the Black team were competing. Allison told the players that this challenge was to run up a hill, splash through some mud and through a field. The prize was to be able to watch videos from home. The catch of the event was that the 4 players had to carry a platform with a player on the platform. The show started with the teams rushing up the hill and the Black Team stopped first for a rest. The Blue Team stopped before the mud pit and Liz said the mud made it really hard to walk. Amanda lost her shoe in the mud and then she had to get onthe platform. The Black Team was behind and the Blue Team started to slow down right before the 2nd mud pit. Shay kept dropping the platform and said she could not go any further. Then Shay switched up to the front position and then whined to America once again as to why she was at a disadvantage. This part of the show really was getting old because the common thread every episode so far was Shay telling the world why she was at a disadvantage.
The Blue Team Made it to the finish line first. Liz told America that she was happy that the Blue Team won. Liz was happy they were going to get videos from home and it did not make her want to send Tracey home any less. Rebecca walked up to Dina on the Black Team and gave her video to Dina and told her to “get on that platform!” Dina said she could not take it because she had to get on that step on her own and that she realized she had to do this for herself. It was a nice moment.
As each winning player stepped into a room to watch their family video there were tears and moments of joy. Each player told America how much they enjoyed to see their family members. Moe saw his children and said his family was his everything. He said when he applied to The Biggest Loser he did not know there was prize money. He was on the ranch to be able to spend more time with his loved ones. Face after face was on the screen until Tracey’s husband told Tracey to stay on the ranch because “pain is temporary and pride was forever.” Liz then crossed teams to ask Danny to watch her family videos with her. Danny said he would be honored and when Liz turned on her video it was really Danny’s family on the screen. Danny said that he was was not worthy enough to have someone give up their chance to see their family. Danny was crying and he saw his wife had lost 20 pounds and the rest of his family was that everyone he loved was also losing weight. His wife told Danny that he had to stay above that yellow line and Danny said after the video he was “a new man.” We have to admit that the scene of Liz giving up her video brought out the tears.
Last chance workout was right after the commercial and Jillian took the entire team outside and forced them all to work together as a team. Dina told America how great it was to work with Jillian because she knew how to motivate the players. Bob took his team to a 24Hour Fitness gym and spoke about checking their BodyBugg to see how many calories they were burning. Seeing the BodyBugg on the arms of all the Biggest Loser players looked just like a black band and yet so many people are unaware how awesome that little BodyBugg can be for weight loss. The band on The arms of the Biggest Loser was the BodyBugg by 24 hour fitness that is the most accurate calorie counting system available to the general public today.
Dian told America that unless you were in the gym, you did not see all the pain and the agony of being in the gym for the last chance workout. Jillian told Dina they had to go have a snack and then do another 5 miles. After the commercial break we saw all of the players walking into the gym for the weigh in and Tracey said to America that it was a very tough week. Allen told America that the Blue Team was stacked and that they should win the weigh in. Allison explained to everyone that the team that lost the smallest percentage of body weight would have to eliminate one player and send them home. The weigh in went as follows with Tracey stepping up to the scale first.
The Blue Team Went first and the result went as follows:
Tracey: 213/206, lost 7 pounds. Tracey was gloating about how well she did and told America that nobody was taking it away from her.
Coach Mo: 318/312 lost 6 pounds. Coach Mo told America that he was happy because he was working out with an injury.
Allen: 285/278, lost 7 pounds. He said he was happy he was helping the team but he wished it was more.
Rudy: 377/369, lost 8 pounds. He said he wanted to lose more and Bob said he was a good amount, at least on pound a day.
Rebecca: 244/237, lost 7 pounds. She said it was great and she was proud of herself and she never wanted to go back to the person she was before.
Liz: 240/232, lost 8 pounds. “I’m happy with that” is what Liz said and she had done everything she had to do.
The Blue Team results were as follows: Total of 43 pounds for a total of 2.56% of body weight lost for the team.
The Black Team was next and the results were as follows:
Abbey: 213/208, lost 5 pounds. She thought she would have done better.
Dina: 229/223, lost 6 pounds. She lost one more pound than last week and was happy, but had little hope the Black team could win.
Amanda: 230/224, lost 6 pounds. She was happy to have any weight loss.
Danny: 382/372, lost 10 pounds. He said he wanted double digits and this was the first week he no longer had to be on meds for his weight. He told America that his life had just begun.
Daniel: 287/276, lost 11 pounds. He was thrilled and said it was great to see it happen.
Shay: 432/416, lost 16 pounds.
Everyone on the Black Team hugged and Shay told everyone what it meant to her what it meant to be able to make it happen. Shay told everyone that she did not get wrapped up in the game play like other players, looking right at Tracey.
The total Black Team lost 54 pounds which was 3.05% , which meant the Blue Team lost the weigh in. Rebecca told America that she told Bob that Tracey was going home. Liz had the highest weight loss and had immunity and Liz told America that “sometimes revenge is very sweet.” Allen told America that everyone knew who was going home that night. The team got together and asked who had to go home. Tracey pleaded that she was pulling her weight and that she has proven she belonged there. Mo said he had to decide he had to be careful by who he was going to send home. He said he did not want to play the game and benefit from the misfortune of someone else. Mo volunteered to be sent home. Liz said Moe was falling on his sword for the team. Soon the game-play began and the players started to talk about how the team would benefit that Mo left and Tracey should stay. It became unclear how the vote would go tonight.
The vote began with Rudy saying that this vote was best for the team. The first person to vote was Liz andshe said that she needed to send Mo home to stay strong as a team. Rudy voted for Me followed up by Tracey voting for Coach Mo. Rebecca also voted for Coach Mo and that she did that vote to do what is best for the team. Coach Mo said that they should not forget him and to play for him andwin. For all the talk of revenge against Tracy, the team wimped out and sent home who was really the weakest lik. Although it was a wise team move, it was a disappointment.
The player eliminated from The Biggest loser Ranch on October 13, 2009 was Coach Mo.
Coach Mo told America that he has changed his life on the ranch and that he will never go back to the lifestyle that he had before his Biggest Loser journey. He said that the next time we saw him on The Biggest Loser transformation moment he would be in the game and not on the sidelines. He told America he lost 76 pounds and that the show saved his life. He said he was now trying to help others on their life. He said he was going to take what he learned and pass it on to all of the children that he worked with. He said he would not only tell them how to lose weight, he was going to do it with them. He said that if he could do it, anyone could do it.
i think the biggest loser is really an inspirational show that shows you all it really takes to lose an extreme amount of weight.
Maybe last chance workout fried their brains? I don’t know what happened, but keeping the horrible, vindictive, insincere, possibly mentally imbalanced Tracey while sacrificing the supportive humanitarian Mo was just plain crazy. Tracey is just an awful person, and possibly the worst contestant ever on this show – what makes BL better than other reality TV is that it’s NOT about the $$, it’s about getting a clue, changing a life, inspiring others, and refusing to be a typical American pasteurized/processed/food product consumer victim of decades of advertising. Tracey’s not about any of that – she’s a greedy, selfish, entitled bitch who should just go home.
OMG, OMG…. how in the world could they keep Tracey???? She is pure evil. She threw Coach Moe under the bus first chance she got – even after he kept her in the game for weeks and was her only support!!!!
Would like to slap that stupid grin of her evil crazy-eyed face.
