The Biggest Loser Recap / Review February 2 2010
The Biggest Loser Recap / Review February 2 2010 is another addition to ThinBlog and our weekly update as to what happened on the show. We always write about what happened every episode, scene by scene. We talk about the challenges and the vote and the weigh in until it is revealed about who is sent home from the ranch. Check us out every week to review the facts or just catch up on what you missed. Now on with the show!!!!
We began with a brief recap of last week and how they voted off Migdalia. Miggy told America how she thought she was ready to be sent home. When she realized she was the one to stay, Miggy said she really did not want to be there anymore. She said they hardest moment of all was when she walked in her bedroom and all of Migdalia’s stuff was gone. Then we broke in a screen with a 911 call about one of the contestants having a sever bout of abdominal pains. It was 2:51 in the morning. Then we learned that Miggy was rushed to the hospital during the night and she was doing fine.
Next we saw Allison tell the players that the challenges of being home were coming back to face them and at that moment two limo’s pulled up and The Yellow and The Blue Team stepped out and were back on the ranch. Then we saw The Yellow Team and The Blue Team tell America how they felt when they were sent home on the first episode. At that moment Allison said the time had come to weigh in at the gym and weigh in to see who was going to stay and who was going to be sent home.
The players arrived at the gym for the Blue Team and Yellow Team weigh off and were met with Bob Harper and Jillian Michaels. Bob then told America that all players ever on the show had the rite of passage of doing the last chance workout. We watched the players get worked really hard and the all were sweating and exhausted. Bob then said the next time they met, it would be at the scale to see who stays…Yellow or Blue.
Allison was then shown in the gym telling the players how they were sent home and now it was time to see which team earned their place back to the ranch. They also were told the team that stayed on the ranch would have the only vote at this weeks elimination. They also learned that they would be on the ranch for two weeks before they could be voted home, they had immunity from the elimination. We then saw Bob Harper gasp a breath of disbelief and all the players were shocked. The players all said that it was not right because they did not know the players who deserved to be there on the ranch. The weigh in started and Jillian said “God bless this game show, you never know what’s coming.” They then started the weigh in to see how much the players lost at home in one month.
The Blue Team was the first to step up to the scale and the results were as follows:
The Blue Team: Cherita 277 / 253 lost 24 pounds. Victoria 358 / 319 lost 39 pounds. Total team lost 63 pounds. 9.92%
The Yellow Team: Sunshine 275 / 250 lost 25 pounds. O’Neal 389 / 338 lost 51 pounds. Total team lost 76 pounds. 11.45%
The Blue Team was the team to lose and be sent home and The Yellow Team won the right to return and stay on the ranch. The Yellow Team was thrilled to be back on the ranch and Allison told The Blue Team they were not The Biggest Loser and that they would be back at the grand finale. The Blue Team said they would continue on their path home and it was time to work out.
Next all of the players were in the gym and the workout began. Bob and Jillian were screaming and yelling and Jillian kept telling the players they were too comfortable. O’Neal told America “What the Hell?”. He said everyone was so competitive and he was going to have to be even more competitive. Melissa was about ready to give up and Bob told her to keep moving as we went into a flashback of Bob telling Melissa that she was a liar about the weigh in. Bob then told America that Melissa had a rough time since she has been on the ranch and she needed to have her confidence back to continue on the ranch.
After a quick commercial break we were back in the gym with Bob telling Melissa to keep moving and Melissa was in tears saying how hard it was. Bob told her that this workout is what the house was all about. This was how she was going to get it done and this was how the house worked. Bob said he was not asking her to do anything she could not do. Melissa was in tears and Bob said that last weigh in she lost 11 pounds and that was her not playing the game and that he had gained respect for her. He told her that it was going to be hard, but she could do it.
Jillian then was seen speaking with Daris and asking why he was close to the line. Why was he not getting his calorie burn? Jillian got him to admit that he had a problem with being overweight and that he had to make a change in his life for when he went home. Jillian asked him questions and he said he needed to have courage and pride in himself. She said he could stop being the funny guy and have a life.
After a commercial we were in the kitchen with The Black Team and The Yellow Team and we were at the start of a commercial that is what we call anti-tivo commercials about turkey. Bob told all that by using ground turkey they could eat well and still lose weight. They then made chili and they all enjoyed the food and said that they could not tell the difference. Bob said the turkey was so much better to eat and everyone agreed how good it was.
We then were at a challenge and Allison said it was a football challenge. Each team had a pair of blocking pads and they had to hit the tackle dummy 1,000 times. The pads they hit were on a sort of horizontal pendulum and they kept hitting it on one side and then alternate and hit the other side. It was sort of a teeter toter on it’s side. Only one player from each team was participating and it was not as easy as it looked. The white Team (Michael) was shocked to learn that hw was tied to win and he pushed even harder and harder. After 7.40 minutes the leader was Sam and Michael with The Red Team inn third place. Immunity was the prize and all of the players were just pushing themselves harder and harder. After over 15 minutes Michael was in 1st place and the competition started to tighten up with Sam catching up. It was really close and then Michael won and he shouted out “I won…I did it Mom!!!”. The rest of the players were still going and the last team to finish was The Pink Team. With being in last place The Pink Team has received a one pound penalty at the weigh in. We then heard Michale tell his fellow players “I never thought I would have been able to do that”.
It was then night time and the camera angle was a moving shot from the pool area looking at the lighted door and windows. Miggy then teared walking around the room and then hobbled in the door and told the other players that she had her appendix removed. She then told America that the only thing she could do was walk and that she was ready to walk to Puerto Rico if she had to do so. We then went to a commercial about the pound for pound challenge. After the short commercial break we were back at the ranch and we had a recap of the first hour of the show. After the recap it was 5:31 AM and we saw Michael and Miggy walking in the dark. Michael told Miggy that she needed to stay on the ranch and then he made a funny. He asked Miggy if he she “heard that?” He then said that there were no birds and “you know why….because they were sleeping!” It was a reference to how early they were up walking.
After another brief built in commercial about making a snack we saw Dr. H. meet with Miggy about her operation. Dr. H. asked her how far she walked the day after surgery and she said that she walked 13 miles. Dr. H. was shocked that she was ale to walk 13 miles the day after she was operated on. Dr. H. said that she had a problem because they poured 8 to 10 pounds of salt water in her to fight infection as part of the surgery. Miggy then broke into tears after she realized the disadvantage she had with the extra water weight inside her from the operation.
Back in the gym Bob and Jillian asked about the challenge and then went over to Miggy and asked her what was wrong. Bob was shocked to hear about her operation and then told America that Miggy had alot of stress this week and that could kill weight loss. Next we saw Bob get Michael do a whole week in the gym and not in the pool. Bob said that this last chance workout was really weird because all of the situations. Immunity. Operation. 2 Pound disadvantage. Bob chuckled as he told America that he was trying to hold it all together. There was then a commercial for being a contestant on a future season of The Biggest Loser. We guess that means there will be more seasons and more chances for us to provide recaps and reviews of the show for you.
After the commercial saw the gym from a distance and then we saw Jillian scream “Welcome to the Biggest Loser Ranch Sunshine!” Bob was then seen working on Lance and Ashley and the tempo of the camera went faster and faster showing Bob Harper and Jillian Michaels put the players through the players. Jillian then told America that Ashley had no fire in her to stay at the ranch. Jillian then told Ashley that she was not working hard enough on the treadmill and yelled at her to “WALK!” Jillian asked Ash why she was “manifesting her own death?” Ash then broke down and said that she regretted her father and his cancer. Jillian said that she was drinking and smoking and eating to make the feelings go away. Jillian asked her what the issues were. Ash said her father said so many bad things to her. She said her Dad told her she was fat and lazy and needed to work out. Ash then said she did not go home when he was dieing because he was always mean to her. Ash then said she was in pain because she was not there when he needed her. She said she only arrived after he could no longer speak. She said she was sorry and then Jillian asked her what she would tell him if he was still alive. Ash then cried and said (to her father) that she “was sorry”.
Back in the gym all the players were told they had to run on the treadmill for 5 minutes. Stephanie was the one giving the commands and acted as if she was in charge. All the players ran for the five minutes and were amazed that they were able to run that long. Bob Harper then introduced the players to yoga and asked them to clear their minds. Bob told the players they were all in the house for a reason. Sunshine told America that she did not know the reason she was in the house, but she would stick around to find out why as her future unfolded.
O’Neal then told America that the impact of having the only vote was just hitting them. He said he was a game player because he wanted to stay on the ranch and that was all he cared about. Sunshine then told America that he trusted her Dad and that told America that she would do whatever her Dad told her to do. Which really meant that O’Neal controlled the show 10 percent at this point. There was then a collage of players telling America the reasons they wanted to stay on the ranch.
At the weigh in Allison asked Miggy and Sunshine how they felt and Miggy told her operation story and Sunshine told America howe this was her first weigh in and how she was so scared. The weigh in then started and since The Yellow Team had won immunity, they were the first to weigh in as the weigh in started.
Yellow Team:Sunshine 250 / 245 lost 5 pounds. O’Neal 338 / 33 3 lost 5 pounds. Total team lost 10 pounds. 1.70%

Purple Team: Stephanie 230 / 225 lost 5 pounds. 2.17%
Green Team: Miggy 211 / 206 lost 5 pounds. 2.37% This was the first time she showed emotions and smiled. It was nice to see!
Brown Team: John 427 / 421 lost 6 pounds.
Since John lost the lowest percentage of body fat he was the one that fell below the yellow line and since he was the only member of The Brown Team, John was the one to be sent home this week and there was no vote held which means that The Yellow Team had no say and the right to choose was voided. John was in tears and he said he has had the change in his life he needed. he said he no longer has to be the person he has been. The player voted off the episode of The Biggest Loser February 2 2010 was The Brown Team member John, by default because he was the only member on the team that fell below the yellow line.
The Biggest Loser Transformation moment began with John telling America he weighed 485 pounds and now he was 380 pounds and lost 105 pounds. he said he had a very difficult time when he first got home. He found it harder to get to the gym everyday and it was not until he found martial arts that he started to get a groove for weight loss. We then saw James and his brother John playing basketball and sparring in martial arts. John said that The Biggest loser helped change his life.
Next week the players go to the Olympic training session in Colorado and the players will start as singles and that two people would be sent home next week.
The show then ended.
