Weight Loss as a New Year’s Resolution
Okay, here it is again….The New Year is approching again and losing weight is on the list….again. Once again you are deciding that you want to be able to look good on in the bathing suit this summer and this time you are going to do it and make it happen. Isn’t that what you said you were going to do last year and also for this year? Since New Year’s will come and go, why not decide now to make 2009 the year you really make weight loss and health a reality.
If you have had less than stellar results at weight loss in the past it is because of one main reason;
1) You eat too much and do not get enough and do not get enough physical activity.
There it is, weight loss in a nutshell. There is little more than that involved in weight loss. Losing weight is not rocket sciene and yet the entire nation acts as if losing weight is only something other people can do and make happen. If you really want to lose weight, then you and you alone can make it happen. It will take motivation and dedication and the willpower to get you to the point that allows you to push past the point of failure. We posted this article early this year because the clock keeps on ticking and the weight keeps gaining. Below are a few clips about weight loss and New Year’s Resolutions.
We hope you learn something and have some fun!!!
New Year’s Weight Loss Resolution…Again!!
Looking to the New Year will once again bring weight loss resolutions and if history repeats itself you will once again fail. Whew!!!! We talk alot about weight loss and what will and what will not work and the opening statement was pretty harsh, but we offer no apologies. The reason why we offer no apologies is because what we say is the truth…unless you decide to do something about the fact that you have gained weight five out of the last five years. Unless you make the choice to make a weight loss stand you will spend another year fighting a losing battle.
Let’s examine some of the diets you may have tried. Atkins. FullBar. South Beach. Mediterranean Diet. We know that you may not have tried each of these diets and we are not saying that these diets are a failure. Maybe you even tried Acai Berry or Alli
, or Strip The Fat or a multitude of other weight loss attempts. We want you to stop before the New Year arrives and think about what you are about to encounter. We want you to think about where you are and where you have come from and where you are headed. We hope to get your attention long enough to realize that there is nothing you can do about weight loss failures of the past. What we want you to understand is that nobody can undo whatever was done, even if it was only one second ago.
Every failed attempt at weight loss has brought you to this point in your life and those failed attempts have matured your ability to be capable to lose weight. What you may not realize is that those attempts at weight loss have clarified not only failure but more importantly established what you can and cannot endure in the world of losing weight. Do not go into the New Year thinking about all of those failures unless you are applying that knowledge to how those failures will edify your future weight loss attempts.
Instead of half way assaulting your attempt to lose weight for the New Year we hope you will take a moment to increase your resolve towards weightloss If Atkins did not work for you then why did it not work? If you felt deprived of the foods you really loved then try another angle at weight loss. if you never tried FullBar then maybe that product will help you avoid the feeling of deprivation. If Atkins was an okay diet that worked…almost, then maybe The South Beach Diet will be easier for you to follow.
Whatever you decide to pursue, just do not give up. Do not think that weight loss is only what other people have happen to them. Maybe you need to forget the diet and start a “live-it.” Diets really may not work for you at all because many, if not all diets set you up for failure right from the start.
Hang in there and hold on because 2009 is almost here and ready or not so come your resolutions.
Choosing Thin, eDiets, FitDay and Weight Loss
Here comes the New Year, whether you are ready or not!! Also in the back of your mind, whether you realize it or not, are the impending New Year’s resolutions for losing weight. Losing weight is a great idea but chances are you have been on that bus stop for weight loss a few times already and now you are starting to think that you need a new approach for weight loss. You are thinking that you are a failure at trying to lose weight and are wondering if you will ever be able to achieve weight loss. Let us be the first to tell you that a New Year’s resolution to lose weight is a great thing but it will only be effective by proper planning and motivation.
Before you begin your journey to weight loss there are some things you need to do and we are not shy about advising you on a few facts. We want to recommend to you two simple and low cost products that you can use to help you on your path towards health. There are three steps we want you to follow and the first step is free. The first thing we want you to do is go to the parent website of this blog which is IChooseThin.com and look through the articles because they have been a labor of love and are full of information. You need to be on a new road for weight loss and that road needs to be built with knowledge. At I Choose Thin there is page after page and story after story about weight loss. What you need right now is an education and that education is what is going to propel you all the way to you becoming a thinner person.
After you have gained knowledge you really need to think about looking for a support group for your journey through losing weight. Whether you have the support from being on the ranch at The Biggest Loser or only having your German Shepherd
to go on walks with, a support system is a tremendous benefit. We at I Choose Thin have no way of knowing if you have a support group in place and if you do then we encourage you to use that support group and use it to the fullest advantage you can get. If you are like so many others in the world that feel you are alone and have no help then you have come to the right place. We are so fully committed in the belief that an anonymous way to gain support is through the internet with an organization called eDiets. Joining will help you gain knowledge and “speak” with people to learn about different diets and support groups that are available through eDiets. The eDiets organization is huge and you can be as active or as anonymous as you desire to be. The one steadfast thing about eDiets is that they offer you a support system that can help you with your weight loss journey.
The final item for your weight loss journey that will help you make some distance down the weight loss trail is the use of a journal. By journaling you will gain insight to how your weight is affected by different foods or moods or exercises. You can use a plain old notebook but we, being the computer geeks we are, really recommend a simple to use program called FitDay. Through the use of FitDay you are setting up yourself for an easier weight loss journey. The program is fairly simple to use and the output you receive will be something that motivates you even more as the diet evolves into success.
Knowledge, eDiets and Fitday are tools that you will be able to use for your journey towards releasing that thin person that resides inside. Stop wasting your money on diet pillsand unused gym memberships and start using some tools that will allow your New Year’s resolution to become a reality. Make this year the last year you make a weight loss resolution.
