Jillian Michaels: One Tough Trainer
Here is a short 2 minute video that shows Jillian Michaels at her best, or maybe at her worst? The collection of clips edited together here offers a glimpse in how Jillian approaches her “victims” when they are training with her on The Biggest Loser. It really makes me glad to not have to train with her and I was in the USMC for 10 years!.
Jillian shows very litle patience in these clips and her temper is aflame sometimes as is the collection of swear words that are bleeped out.
Jillian Michaels Weight Loss Philosphy
Song info: Lift by Shannon Noll, aka the theme song of The Biggest Loser: Australia
We added this video because it sheds a great deal of insight into what makes Jillian Michaels tick. If you watch this decently made video you will be able to see Jillian in her own what what makes people lose the weight that they lose. She speaks all about how it is a choice that is made. It is not only refreshing to her her speak so frankly, it is inspiring.
Jillian Michaels, Pat Robertson and “Winning By Losing”
Jillian Michaels appeared on the Pat Robertson show and this video is a few years old and it is kind of cute to see some early Jillian. She is very much so on her good behavior as she speaks to Pat and you could almost see the little girl coming out of her. She is pretty cute in the video actually because you see how pleasant she is laughing and giggling. The purpose of the interview was to plug her new book “Winning By Losing” and she speaks for quite a few minutes on the approach to weight loss.
She talks about balanced oxidizers and how no one diet is good for everyone. She speaks about how each person to to come to grips with themselves. We did not read the book, so we will not lie to you. For more information about her book you can click on the book pictured below and get more information about the content of the book.
Jillian Michaels, Beth Hart and Learning to Live
This is a very well made video that has hardly ever seen photographs of Jillian Michaels. The video shows various videos in the life of Jillian with many photographs thrown in the mix. We see photographs from the set of The Biggest loser from various seasons and even some of her speaking to an eDiets audience. There are even some thrown into the mix from her show Losing It With Jillian. I
The entire video montage is accompanied by the hit album and single by Beth Hart entitled “Learning To Live.” It is quite clear from this video that Jillian is a very busy girl and seems to be quite comfortable in her role as fitness superstar and weight loss guru.
Looking at her smile and her ability to bring the best out of people it is nice to se that before her fame Jillian was a really nice person and still is that way. let’s just hope she stays that way, Holleywood has a way of ruining people.

Jillian Michaels and Her Harley Davidson
Although this video really has nothing to do with weight loss, dieting or exercise, it does give us a little insight into Jillian Michaels.
We have added this video and short clip of Jillian praising her love of riding motorcycles because we love everything Jillian and what is more cool than a cool woman, in great shape riding a motorcycle? You have to admit…Jillian just got even cooler when you learned she owned a Harley and loves to ride a motorcycle. Oh…by the way, if you missed it Jillian rides a Harley Davidson Muscle.
Jillian Michaels, eDiets and Dreaming
This little presentation by Jillian Michaels is pretty motivating and enjoyable. Jillian speaks with a passion for life that is quite visible. She talks to an eDiets audience about how she went from a fat teenager to a physical fitness trainer. The one inspiring part of the short presentation is when she spoke about how she hated her job and wanted to die everyday when she woke up. It was realy cool to hear her say that a person should never give up their dream and they should just push on and never give up.
Jillian would make a pretty good motivational speaker as well as a physical fitness trainer. It is a short video with poor sound quality but we enjoyed it nonetheless.
Jillian Michaels On The Tonight Show
This clip has nothing to do with weight loss, but it did have alot to do with seeing Jillian Michaels laugh and just having a good time. If you like watching Jillian, then it is worth checking out.
Opinions On Jillian Michaels Fitness Ultimatum 2009
I purchased the Wii so I would be able to put a bit of entertainment into my daily exercise routine. Some days I just do not feel like going to the gym or it is rainingand I can’t go bike riding. For whatever the reason may be there are some days I just like to stay at home and relax, but even on those days I feel like I should do something to keep up the cardio or muscles.
With that being said I went out and got myself a Wii and while some games are excellent for my purpose, some games are much less than adequate. I have been thinking of buying Jillian Michaels Fitness Ultimatum 2010
. I work really hard for my money and was wondering what others think about the game.
I really only want to hear from those that have the game, or have actually used it them self. How intense of a workout is it? What can I expect? Please let me know so I do not waste my hard earned money.
Thanks in advance
Any Reviews Of Jillian’s DVD “Boost Your Metabolism?”
I did some exercise today and used the Jillian Michael’s workout video called “Boost Your Metabolism.“ It lasted for forty fives minutes or so and it consisted of using your body as the weight while you performed the cardio and weight training. Has anyone ever heard of this technique before, because I have not.
When I was done I must admit I was pretty sore, but I have my doubts if this is a good work out. I think it would be because I have alot of faith in what Jillian Michael’s endorses. I was just wondering if anyone else has a review of the video and what they thought of the workout session.
Losing It With Jillian: Mastropieto Family
Losing It With Jillian had its Series premiere tonight and I must say that it was not what was expected. Jillian showed a side of herself that was only slightly visible on The Biggest Loser. What can be said is that The Biggest Loser is now firmly behind Jillian and now her television future is entrenched for the next few years with her new television show “Losing It With Jillian.”
Before I get into what the show was about let me give you a little background on how the format of the show is set up to operate. After all, this is not only the season premier, it is the series premier. Jillian Michaels finds a family that is dealing with obesity issues that are so severe that it threatens the very lives of those on the show. She arrives 20 minutes after the family
receives a phone call and then moves in for one week. She takes them through the grind in the gym but that is actually secondary to the events that take place within the home of the family on the show.Sure there are the scenes of Jillian yelling at the family members but that will only go so far when she only has one week to help the family. What the goal here is to give the members of the family the tools, or in this case, the knowledge to help themselves. She has only one week to make such a drastic change that after she leaves they will be able to thrust the changes into their everyday lives that will allow them to maintain the needed self discipline to become the family and the individuals thay need to become…to live.
This is one part of Jillian that we only have seen glimpses of in other shows and I bet this is going to soften the rough edges she has been known to have. Jillian, on this show was seen to be the screaming trainer, but this time it was easily seen that her intentions were to shock the family into the reality that they had to make the needed change, or they would be the ones to die.
To review the episode that was on tonight (June 1, 2010) Jillian Michaels called the Mastropieto Family on the phone and told them to meet her at the gym and she would be there in 20 minutes. The family was all excited and jumping for joy when they received the call, but all that changed after the initial greeting from Jillian.
After Jillian met the family it was learned that they were in very poor physical shape. The exercises that Jillian told them to do was so intense that they all sort of just gave up and Jillian walked out because family member, after family member just gave up. The daughter (Michelle) screamed at her parents and told her to go get Jillian and bring her back.
It was not long into the one week visit that Jillian realized the family had a dysfunctional relationship that was centered around food. Watching the first meal getting prepared looked as if it was sickening Jillian. Everything was fried and very high in fat. Early the next day Jillian took the daughter out and introduced her to fresh vegetables at the supermarket. Their home had none to be found before Jillian arrived.
Jillian soon dug into what was causing this family to have such a poor relationship with food and soon realized it was because of the fact that the Dad (Jim) would not talk to the Mom (Agnes) about their child that died 22 years before, when it was only 31 days old. Anytime Agnes tried to discuss it, he would shut down and this drove her to food as a comfort. Over the years this tragedy spread to the entire family and the relationship that was established drove all of the family members to become obese.
The daughter, Michelle, was to get married in six weeks and the family went shopping for the wedding clothing. The sad reality was that they all felt obese and the Dad (Jim) was told he was too large to fit into the largest tuxedo. Agnes said she was too large to fit into anything that made her feel good about herself. The family then decided that they had six weeks to make a change and they committed to make that change.
An interesting sidenote about this show was that it was very clear in stating that weight loss surgery did not help the members of this family. There were members that had the procedure and yet today they still dealt with their weight because they never dealt with the issues that made them over weight. Although Jillian did not mention this herself, it was clearly shown a few times in the editing of the show. The daughter even went so far as to say that gastric bypass just caused her to have “serious head-games.” The Dad stated early on in the show that the surgery failed because he still had the “fat mentality.” Never before had I seen a show pan the weight loss surgery concept so much. The interesting part about this is that the results of this humble family are the results that are so prevalent of those I know personally one, two or three years after they have had surgery. It was subtle and understated, but it was evident that Jillian Michaels is against weight loss surgery as a way to lose weight.
The next scene was quite interesting and pleasant. It was noticed that each and every member of the Mastropietro family was wearing a BodyBugg. So if you were wondering what was on the arm of the family on Losing It With Jillian…it was the BodyBugg. It is the same devise that is on Jillian’s other weight loss show but it was interesting that there was no sponsorship from 24Hour Fitness. I guess it can be concluded that Jillian wanted this family to succeed so much that she wanted to make sure they had all of the tools needed. Since I know and love The BodyBugg, I realize and understand how great BodyBuggis as a weight loss tool. I did have to chuckle at first because they were all so shiny and new and I knew that soon they would be scratched, beaten and well worn. I was quite happy to see those black bands on the arms of the Mastropietro family because I knew then that with BodyBugg
they had the best weight loss tool available. I knew at that moment that they had what they needed and now if they really wanted to succeed, they could do it. It was all up to them.

Jillian then told the family that it was time to leave and off she went with the promise to return for the wedding in six weeks. Before she left she made each family member state what there goal would be until the wedding. Soon Jillian walked out the door with her suitcase.
The next scene Jillian was walking up to the wedding in a sexy red dress. This was where she would discover if the family was able to lose the weight. What was soon revealed was that the family was on the road to discovery and each of the members of the family were able to achieve their goals.
Agnes lost 34 pounds, Jim dropped 48 pounds and 10 inches from his waistline while the son, Michael lost 25 pounds. Jillian then told them the show would pay for the wedding and sent the newlyweds off on a honeymoon. Jim then told the wedding guests how Jillian helped heal the issues that were killing the family slowly.
In the end the entire show was what only received a few moments on the other show Jillian starred on. That was the fact that in order to lose weight, and keep it off a person has to get at the reason food is an issue in the first place. This family learned that it was alright to grieve the death of their newborn 22 years earlier. This issue was the trigger for obesity.
It was not only obvious this show was a hit, it was obvious that this show saved the lives of The Mastropietro family.
