Acai Berry Review: Why You Need To Skip This Fresh Fruit
We, at IChooseThin.com, are cheap and we pretty much like to pick apart all of latest diet fads. We looked and looked for reasons why the acai berry was going to turn out to be just another flash in the pan gimmick and weight loss fad diet thing-a-magig. After minimal research we quickly discovered why that unless you are a person living in a select geographical portion of South America, you can’t get the Acai Berry. The reason why we do not recommend the fresh Acai Berry is that it is not available to you in the first place. What a cruel twist in the world for those seeking wellness and health and trying to utilize the natural power of fruit. A virtually perfect fruit, and you can’t have any, it almost sounds Biblical! Although there are many websites that praise Acai for weight loss that is not really one of the many benefits of Acai. Acai is a wonderful product that has been tagged to weight loss and many overlook the wonderful health benefits the fruit reall does have to offer.
The health claims of the acai berry are numerous and almost seem mystical when combined with the fact that the berry is only available in the South American rain forest. The benefits included in the acai berry are too numerous for this mere blog entry and for a full easy to read, in depth review, we suggest the full report at IChooseThin.com.
After much searching we must report that if you want to include Acai berry in your diet you will not be able to get the fresh fruit and this is what turned out to be the goodnews. The reason for turning this gloom and doom report into a positive one is because acai berry is unusable after only about 24 hours from the time it is harvested. Since the fresh stuff perishes so quickly the producers have mass produced the fruit in freeze dried Acai berry alternative. We do not advocate freeze dried fruit as a normal alternative but the health power of acai berry
makes this an attractive alternative on those days that you can’t get to the store for fresh fruit.
We love to eat bananas and strawberries and much other fruit but we must admit that there are those days when work dominates and the fridge only contains old apples and soggy grapes. On those days when life got in the way it dawned on us to have some of the acai berry around, in the powdered form, or the capsule form. We knew that on those hurried days a coffee was not enough so out came the donuts. The whole cycle of diet, life, donuts, exercise gets frustrating when the fruit is not around to offset the pace of the day. When fruit is not available the freeze dried Acai can be available and the nutrition it will provide will be more than a donut could ever provide. If you have a lifestyle that does not allow you to get the amazing benefits of fruit on a daily basis then acai berry in the fried dried form, or the capsule is for you!
Deviating from the initial, save your money review, we are now reversing earlier reports and suggest you stock up on the freeze dried acai berry and have it around when needed. On the days when the morning is rushed you can just mix some in your juice, water or milk or smoothie. The taste has proven complimentary and the health benefits are astounding. In fact, the benefits of the berry in the freeze dried form outweigh almost all of the other fruits out there! Acai berry has proven to be the amazing king of all the fruits even in the freeze dried form. Acai berryliterally holds the title of the world’s superfruit.
If you are like most people in the world your life is not perfect. You struggle to get the time to exercise and eat right. Like most people the fruit store is one trip that that does not always happen. The freeze dried Acai berry can, and is your solution to getting the health you need from fruit, even when you do not have the time.
I Choose Thin Diet Tips
We all have heard the same old diet tips over and over, but it is always good to be reminded of what we should be doing. Who knows maybe I will mention a couple that you might not have thought about.
- Keep a food diary.
- If you have a craving, wait 19 minutes before eating to see if it passes.
- Set Attainable goals
- Get enough sleep, stress and fatigue can cause belly fat.
- Drink 6 to 8 glasses of water a day. If you drink a glass a water before a meal it dulls your appetite.
- Find yourself a diet buddy, either a friend or online.
- When cravings hit do an activity before snacking.
- Keep trigger foods out of sight.
- If you like you are a late night muncher, eat a slice of bread or a cracker.
- Don’t use food as a reward.
- Weigh yourself once a week on the same day and time.
- Make dining an important event.
- Don’t grocery shop when you are hungry. Shopping while hungry has you filling your cart with unhealthy foods and sweets.
- Forget about the old rule about eating everything on your plate even if you are a member of the Clean Plate Association!
- Lose weight for yourself, not to please your husband, your neighbor, your parents, tooth fairy, or your friends.
- Make your kitchen off limits except for mealtimes.
- Always eat at the table.
- After taking a fork full, put your fork down until all of your food is chewed and swallowed.
- Taste what you are eating.
- Take baby steps when dieting. An example would be by drink 8 glasses a water a day and do this and only this until it begins a habit, and then move to something like exercise, and so forth.
Comment tell me what your diet tips are. We can learn together.
Bob Harper, Jillian Michaels, The Biggest Loser and 24 Hour Fitness
We here at I Choose Thin have been fans of the Biggest Loser since season one. My wife and I who are on a constant battle for weight loss actually go through withdrawals when it is between seasons. Sue (my wife) really would love to train with Jillian Michaels while I would rather work with Bob Harper. As we sat on the couch watching the episodes we were always thrilled with the no nonsense approach to weight loss that was presented throughout the theme of the show. What really thrilled Sue and I was the fact that it was all done through education, exercise and dedication. This down to Earth approach was the reason we started the I Choose Thin website. Having been tired of all the weight loss nonsense and knowing we would never be on the show we were looking for an outlet of weight loss knowledge. The Biggest Loser and the team up with 24 Hour Fitness with Bob Harper and Jillian Michaels was a match made in heaven.
Nowhere else in the world of advertising and television was the concept that the best way to lose weight was through education and then a whole bunch of sweat through exercise. Many viewers do not realize that the contestants spend 7, 8 or even 9 hours of their day in the gym. Many viewers sit on their couch eating ice cream thinking how great it would be to be on the show and do not realize what they are wishing. I equate it to wanting to become a United States Marine and forgetting a little place called Parris Island , where Marines are born in a concept called boot camp. When I watch the Biggest Loser I know how great it would be to be on that show not because of the get thin fast concept but because I know that is one place where weight loss would happen.
Being on the show would allow you to use the most advanced weight loss/exercise equipment available and that combined with the training of Bob and Jillian would provide the combination to allow the sweat to pour. That sweat is what pushes the weight loss but it takes more than an hour episode for that to happen. In order to lose the weight a person has to be committed to weight loss for the long haul. A person has to have that inner motivation that goes deeper than a one hour episode can achieve. Having been a follower of the show I have been saddened to see the weight gain by previous contestants but I do not degrade them because I know that life can get in the way of fitness and weight loss or even weight maintenance.
If you are a person seeking weight loss you must first have the motivation and then you must have some deeper motivation. Only then will that weight loss attempt amount to a lifetime of health. Only after you have made the decision to lose the weight should you ever think of spending money on equipment at 24 Hour Fitness. The products they sell are not cheap and deserve more than becoming a dust collecter in the spare bedroom. The products at 24 Hour Fitness will work the same way they work for the Biggest Loser and that is through the sheer fact that they are being used.
If you desire to lose weight then take the cue from Bob Harper, Jillian Michaels , the Biggest Loser and 24 Hour Fitness and get up and do something about it. After you start then just remember that you have to keep going and not give up.
The Biggest Loser, Season 7: Bob Harper’s Meltdown
January 13, 2009: The Episode of The Biggest Loser that aired tonight was one that forced the members to vote off one of the two people that needed to be on the ranch the most. When the weigh in was done the two players that were below the dreaded yellow line were the young and most obese player ever, 19 year old Dan and the oldest player in history, Jerry. The decision over who to send home was at first an difficult one, but was soon decided and it turned out that the choice was the best one that could have been made.
Everyone was hoping that Joelle was going to be the one sent home after her behavior caused Bob Harper to have a Zen blowout. When Joelle was not able to do the demanded 30 second treadmill run the words exchanged between Bob and Joelle were the most explicative ever uttered by Bob Harper. It was almost comical to see the reaction from Jillian Michaels
as she bore witness to Bob’s emotional meltdown. The actual words used by Bob had to be edited out of the show and it makes one wonder just how much of a nice guy Bob really is when the camera is not rolling? Don’t worry Bob, America still loves you and your behavior was proven fairly justifiable by the results of the weight-in.
When the weigh in was done Joelle was caught saying that despite not falling below the yellow line it was nothing to be proud about. She was just above the percentage mark and she was not happy that she barely beat the oldest and the most obese person on the show. It is widely believed that this may have shocked Joelle into what weight loss reality is all about on the ranch of The Biggest Loser. Joelle may be seen in future episodes melting the treadmill with newfound motivation. Joelle may have realized that Bob Harper
was dead on right about her mouth doing all the exercise while her body did little of nothing in the gym.
At the end of it all the members decided to send home the older contestant, Jerry. They did this because they knew Jerry would have a support at home and Dan would never be able to sustain the weight loss unless he stayed on the ranch and worked with the trainers. When Jerry left and the show was ending the decision by the members proved thoughtful and true. Jerry and wife were doing fine and still were losing weight.
As we roll into next week it will be interesting to learn how Joelle performs. Will she step it up or will Bob continue to meltdown? Either way The Biggest Loser Season 7 is turning out to be a darned good show and I for one love to watch it unfold.
——————————————————————————–
There were some fairly profound statements on the show and we present them here.
To lose weight…”The reason why needs to be big enough.”
“The biggest competition is myself.” (When talking about weight loss”)
Although neither you nor I can spend as much time exercising as they do 6, 7 or 8 hours a day on the ranch, we can still lose weight using the same principles. Healthy eating, exercising and diet are all a person needs to do to lose weight. Bob Harper says it, Jillian Michaels says it and it is the theme of The Biggest Loser
and also here at I Choose Thin. Losing weight needs to begin in the mind, travel through the heart and manifest itself on the scale. In order to lose weight and be able to keep it off it needs to be something that happens inside your very soul first and foremost. The Biggest Loser
advocates healthy weight loss through proper nutrition and exercise and I Choose Thin only complements what you see on your television.
