How do you maintain the weight you lose?
ICT Response:
My wife and I are big weight loss losers because of Medifast. The lowest amount of weight I have lost is 112 pounds. That took me down from 297 to 185. That was the most weight I have ever lost, and also, it is the most weight I have ever been able to KEEP OFF. When I say keep off, I refer to the fact that I realize that my weight is NOT a static number. There will be days when it is higher and days when it is lower.
Now that I am in MAINTENANCE I am able to go out and eat the foods that I truly love. An example is popcorn at the movies. I know that when I eat a big bucket of popcorn I will gain 2 to 3 pounds the next day. I also understand that the weight gained is really water retention and not fat. I also know that if I go out and have a one day binge day I will gain weight that is NOT water retention. I have come to understand the imprtance of the difference. I used Medifast for 5 months to lose the 112 pounds and I no longer use it everyday.
What I now do is use 190 pounds as the warning number to start paying attention to what I am eating a bit closer. If I eat off plan for a couple of weeks I use 200 pounds as the drop dead number and go back on the 5 and 1 plan 100%. The few times I went over 200 pounds I quickly went on the plan and dropped my weight right back to where I wanted it to be. Is this yo-yo’ing? I do not think so!
I enjoy Medifast meals. I find them convienent and while I am at work (retail home improvement) the whole process is less expensive than eating out and it frees up my lunch hour completely. I find myself eating the crunch bars and the cheese puffs most of the time at work, mixed in with a soup or a stew or even a shake that I make from the blender I keep stashed in my locker.
Overall Medifast works for me and I am very happy being able to contain my weight to where I am comfortable. My co-workers have been “waiting” for me to gain my weight back and they are starting to realize…that will never happen. I have had some snide remarks here and there about being “stuck” on Medifast but that is so far from the truth. I ate out the other day at AppleBees and had a rack of honney BBQ ribs and then went to the movies and had soda and popcorn and even some M&M’s. I gained a fraction of weight back, but guess what???? I am living my life, I am healthy and I AM THIN!
What I have learned is that many people say they WANT to lose weight, but few are really willing to do what it takes. Using Medifast is the easiest thing my wife and I have ever done, concerning weight loss.
People may say what they want, but I am thin and have been able to maintain my weight. Most of THEM are still overweight….what does that tell you??
I will be more than willing to talk to you on on one at 850-449-0121. I am not a salesperson as I really have nothing to sell. I can help, but only if you are willing to listen.
GOOD LUCK!!!
