Medifast Product Review: Brownie
This review for Medifast Brownie, with real chocolate chips is one review that I have been wanting to write since the package arrived. The first thing I have to say about the Medifast Brownie is that the only problem with it is that it tasted so good I could have eaten the entire box in one sitting. Medifast has developed a great tasting chocolate brownie and this can even be called a treat.
When I was getting ready for this unofficial Medifast Brownie review I had to try three of them over the course of the last day to make sure that I presented the information with the experience of the preparation process. When I prepared the Medifast brownie the first time I cooked it in a conventional oven for about 20 minutes, and for the second brownie I used a microwave. I added one packet of Splenda to the Medifast Brownie Mix right after I added the water, and before I mixed it all together. Although, over time I have learned I really do not need Splenda when preparing a Medifast Brownie. When you make one I suggest you first try it without any sweetener.
The Oven Baked Brownie
What I can say about the oven baked brownie is that the aroma of it cooking wafted through my entire home, which made the treat of the chocolate brownie even that much better. I cooked it in an oven and let it sit for a few minutes and I must say that it tasted great. I had no complaints with the taste or the texture of the Medifast Brownie in any way. Since the brownie comes with it’s own individual cooking paper pan, there was not even a mess to clean up. I found myself scraping the pan to ensure that I got every morsel of the great tasting treat.
The Microwaved Brownie
Before I cooked my first brownie in the microwave I must confess that I thought the Medifast brownie was going to taste better cooked in a conventional oven. After I cooked the brownie in the microwave I was shocked how good it really tasted. I ended up cooking it about 30 seconds longer than the directions stated, but overall the finished product was excellent. In my final opinion I felt as if the brownie tasted better cooked in the microwave… and that was a realization that surprised me.
The last of the three Medifast Brownie I prepared and ate was the best all, but it had nothing to do with the way it was prepared. The third one I ate I had some Walden Farms chocolate syrup, which is even adheres to the Medifast plan. I then broke out my fork and enjoyed what turned out to be an amazingly delicious chocolate brownie that actually counts as a Medifast Meal. To close this review of Medifast Brownie I have to say that I was humbled by the quality of the product. Granted the portion size is not large, but large portion sizes are what got me overweight in the first place. Also, I learned that the portion is LOADED with protein and nutrition that really does satisfy and fill you up.
Below is a short video I threw out to give you a bit of perspective of what I am writing about. Making a Medifast chocolate brownie was really good and continues to be a favorite of mine, even today.
