Jillian Michaels Weight Loss, Dieting and Exercise

I was overweight, out of shape; I was in the category of possible heart attack, diabetes, stroke and a variety of other obesity related diseases.  If I went to the movie theatre I would get out of breath walking up to the back rows.  I was 46 years old and was 110 pounds overweight.  I had tried so many feeble attempts at weight loss.  I had tried all sorts of diet plans which I now look back on as being nothing more than fad diets conceived by people who were just trying to make a profit off my quest for seeking weight loss solutions.  I sat through season after season of the television show The Biggest Loser and always sat on the couch wishing I would do something about my ever expanding waistline.  It was not until the last season that I went to the doctor’s office for a routine physical examination that the full impact of my being overweight hit me.  The doctor told me, in a matter of fact way, that if I did not lose weight I would become diabetic.  Oddly enough it was the nonchalant sound of the statement that woke me up to my impending reality.  I went home that night and there I was, again in front of the television watching The Biggest Loser.  I saw Jillian Michaels leading her people on towards weight loss.  I was inspired.

I never wanted to meet a celebrity before in my life.  In fact, there were times in my life I would not walk across the street to catch the sight of an actor or a sports athlete.  I never had any interest because I always thought they were just people and who really cared.  That was until I was inspired in my efforts to lose weight by not only The Biggest Loser but more importantly by Jillian Michaels.  As time went on I started to lose weight myself and apply what she said in her shows.  Maybe it was the way she approached her weight loss training that inspired me.  Having served in the military it sort of felt like going back in time to a period when physical fitness was much easier for me to achieve.

Jillian Michaels has become the first celebrity that I would love to meet.  Her approach to weight loss is a no nonsense, in your face approach that you rarely see in the world today.  With everyone trying to be so politically correct and afraid that someone is going to be offended, Jillian Michaels shoots straight from the hip and pins your excuses to the wall.  The interesting thing about her approach is the compassion that she shows those that she works with.  As one of the anonymous millions in television world I would love for a time at the ranch to work on my weight loss.  I would love to meet the inspiration that has allowed me to shed 45 pounds on my weight loss journey.

As time has ticked away I have been able to take the lessons from Jillian and use them in my life.  I have searched and joined her affiliate weight loss program and have been able to drop some pounds.  Because of the knowledge and attitude she has shown me I have been able to become healthier as I lost the weight.    Through her teachings I have learned that weight loss does not mean a diet of deprivation.  I have purchased her books and have become a true believer of what she says to those who want to lose weight.  I have been able to realize that all of my failed attempts at weight loss were now over and a new me was emerging.  Jillian has shown me that a life change could and would take place if I wanted it strongly enough.  Jillian Michaels attitude combined with her diet and meal plans work so well in my life  that it is a breath of fresh air in today’s world of weight loss.  Her weight loss program is a proven success that most people would benefit from applying in their own lives.  Jillian Michaels has become my first Hollywood hero.

Thank you Jillian!!
