Is BodyBugg Accurate?

We here at IChooseThin.com have been talking about and reviewing BodyBugg for sometime now.  We first ordered it for the simple fact that almost all weight loss gizmos are a total waste of money and we hate to see people get ripped off.  We review weight loss items in an attempt to keep people aware of the scams that are lurking just on the other side of your computer monitor.  In today’s economy people are afraid to spend the money they do have, and the average obese person has been scammed more times that they would like to admit.  So…when we answer the question if BodyBugg is accurate we feel as if we must define your question to ensure the answer we give really answers the question you are asking. Is BodyBugg accurate….?

What Does BodyBugg Really Do?
We want to make sure you, the reader, fully understand what BodyBugg is all about.  We want you to understand and realize that BodyBugg is not some magic weight loss device that renders the food you eat to become “calorie-less.”  We want you to understand that BodyBugg is merely a monitoring device that you wear on your left arm.  What it does is that it records what it “thinks” are the amount of calories that you burn off during physical activity during the course of your life.  The BodyBugg is recommended to be worn 23 hours a day, everyday.  The BodyBuggg should be worn during any activities that do not require getting wet, such as swimming or showering.  What BodyBugg really does is that it records the amount of calories that a person burns off through daily activity, whether that activity is exercise, sleep or typing on a computer.

What many people do not realize is that the human body is similar to any engine in the fact that it requires fuel to function.  Whether you are sitting reading a computer monitor or on a 5K run, the body needs and burns energy.  While most individuals know that using an elliptical for an hour burns about 500-600 calories, yet never realize that the body even burns 2-3 calories a minute when sleeping.  What the BodyBugg does is that it never forgets to be recording the activity that a person is engaged in doing at any given moment. For an example, if you work in a retail store it will record all of the calories you use walking from receiving to customer service.  If you are a cashier it will record the calories you used while just standing and lifting items into a bag or a cart.  The point is that BodyBugg is always there, always active and never forgetting to make a computer record of how many calories are being used to get you to the next moment of life.  We know you are asking how accurate BodyBugg is and this is the question we want to answer, but before we do, let us take the question one level deeper.

Is There Anything I Need To Do To Help BodyBugg Be Accurate?
Most people researching BodyBugg do not appreciate the fact that BodyBugg is simply a computer.  Like any computer, it does what it is told and if you enter incorrect information, you will receive inaccurate answers.  What we want you to realize is that for a person to get accurate feedback from BodyBugg they have to use the online BodyBugg computer program.   (This online program is provided and included for 6 months when BodyBugg is purchased.)  When you start using BodyBugg you MUST enter the foods you eat to get ANYresults from BodyBugg.  Without entering calories consumed onto their online food journal, you will receive no data whatsoever and BodyBugg will be nothing more that a very light, and ineffective paperweight.  If you are looking for a simple food journal then we recommend you save a chunk of cash and just spend about $30.00 and order
FitDay, which is an awesome…awesome program in-itself.  The only downside to FitDayis that it does not record the calories a person burns during the mundane moments of life, which is most of the time.  This is the moment of truth that separates BodyBugg from any other food journals in existence today.  This is what makes BodyBugg the effective weight loss tool it claims to be.  So….if you have any desire for BodyBugg to be accurate, the user must enter the foods that are eaten.  BodyBugg does have an online file of many thousands of foods, but the end responsibility is that the user enters what they eat into their computer.  Whether you use FitDay, or BodyBugg, if you eat 10 cookies and log only 3….you have entered false information and the only person it will hurt, is you and you will only receive inaccurate information.

Is BodyBugg Accurate?
So here you sit…asking if BodyBugg is accurate.  The answer is YES, if you, as the user do what is required.  First, you must wear the device and then you must enter all of the foods eaten as accurately as possible.  If a person were to do that, BodyBugg is an awesome piece of equipment that provides the user the most complete calorie burning information available, outside of a clinical study.  If you as the user were to strap on a BodyBugg by 24 Hour Fitness, and enter the foods eaten accurately, you will no longer be mystified why you can’t lose weight.  By applying the information that BodyBugg makes available to the user, you will have “in your face” weight loss information that is as impersonal as any other computer out there.  With BodyBugg there is no drama, no whining, no complaining, just information.  What you as the user must realize is that how you lose weight is by what you do with that information once it is received.  If you have seen BodyBugg on The Biggest Loser reality television show, you must understand that the people on The Biggest Loser did not lose weight by simply wearingBodyBugg.  They lost the weight because the information they received they reacted to in a positive way.   The weight they lost was not because they wore the BodyBugg, it is because of the food and exercise choices they made when they received the information from their BodyBugg.

Is BodyBugg Accurate?  Yes it is… It is more accurate than most obese people will want to admit.  I can say this because I was morbidly obese when I first put it on my arm.  The information I received was not only shocking, but showed that if I kept on my daily path of life, they way I have for the past 20 years, I would more than likely start experiencing weight related health issues.  That is the one piece of information my BodyBugg made me realize, so yes, BodyBugg is very, very accurate and it was hard for me to really come to grips with that piece of information.  The problem some may have with BodyBugg is that they may not want to do anything with the information BodyBugg provides.  BodyBugg works and it is accurate, what a person does with that information is what determines weight loss.
