How To Lose Weight Forever

If you desire to lose weight then you need to understand the entire weight loss process.  Unless you are going to be sealed off from the world that you know and enjoy you must resign yourself that you need to make changes in your life.  The changes you need to make are not to give up all the food that you love but that you must start to place some boundaries on the quantity and frequency that you eat those foods.  If you love to eat pizza it is unrealistic to believe that you will start a diet and never eat pizza again.  For you to be able to attain the body weight you desire you must realize that your weight loss attempt needs to allow you to eat your favorite foods every now and then, but with some new limits.

If you desire to lose 100 pounds then you need to not only adjust the quantity of foods you eat but also you need to increase your level of physical activity.  In order for you to lose weight you will need to choose better foods and those foods that are not as healthy for you need to be limited.  An example of this would be that after you lose 20 pounds and do a cardio routine 5 times weekly for one month, you will reward yourself with a night of two slices of pizza and maybe one Pepsi soda.  The point is that if you embark on a diet plan that is so strict that you can’t have a night out for the sake of true enjoyment you will learn to hate your new way of life.  One you start to resent your new lifestyle you will start to deviate from your weight loss goal more and more often.  If that were to happen you would have just completed the cycle of another failed diet attempt.

By changing your lifestyle with more exercise and smaller portions with one day of “binge” eating every now and then you will be more successful in the long-term.  The one problem with this concept is that too many people find it hard to limit the food of their passion.  You must ask yourself if you can be diet rigid for a month and then spend one night enjoying pizza and being able to be rigid in your goals once again the next day.  By allowing yourself one night of your favorite foods every now and then you will release some of the weight loss pressure while allowing yourself some emotional enjoyment as you achieve your long term goals.

Truly successful weight loss is that weight that is lost for the long term.  Anything less than long term weight loss will just be another fad or yo-yo diet.  I Choose Thin for the long term…..what do you choose?
