I am on nutrisystem and I have lost 5 lbs in one week. Nutrisystem works for me because I have a 1 year old I have to chase around all day and I don’t have time to make anything. Nutrisystem is great because it is portion control and calorie controled and premade for me. So all I have to do is grab and go. And I honestly hate grocery stores. Especially when you have to sit down and plan what your going to buy and how many calories is in this or that. I just don’t have time for that. Use to but not anymore. So it depends on your lifestyle and what works for you.
From someone who has lost 100lbs and kept it off: Yes, you are only cheating yourself if you take a diet pill. If you want to lose weight, cut down on fatty things such as cheeses, oils, sugars, etc. You don’t have to starve yourself and exercise yourself too hard, just be smart.
Remember that 3,500 calories is equal to 1lb. Pay attention to calories! Limiting portions is HUGE! You can still eat those bad-for-you things, just not too much. Fill yourself up on something else, then have a couple bites of those nachos =)
On a side note: an eating plan like nutrisystem might be good, but I’ve got to be honest: You’re paying someone GOOD money to tell you things you could EASILY figure out for yourself. What should I eat, what should I not eat, am I eating too much? You don’t need an eating plan to tell you that.
I will sell you all my nutrisystem for $100 bucks. I have enough food for at least a month. We tried it and just couldn’t do it. I know a lot of people who have and still look great. It is a great diet for someone who likes to eat, because you eat all day long. Seriously if you want it email me negatorious@yahoo.com
it took me less than a month to lose 10 pounds on nutrisystem. it was the best $300 i’ve ever spent.
the best part is that it’s not a diet fad… no drugs – just teaches you good eating habits and the importance of portion control. i only did it for one month (because i’m cheap) and i continued to lose when i just followed the same type of eating plan. (lost a total of 30 pounds.)
try it before trying a pill. good eating habits are for life, and you’ll love knowing that you’re taking care of yourself.
good luck!
