Diet Soda Makes People Fat?
We at I choose thin have been learning and trying to lose weight for many years now. Over time we have learned that weight loss is more of a journey than a destination. We have learned that weight loss is a very misunderstood event in most people’s life. We have learned that almost all products on the weight loss market are not what they are cracked up to be portrayed. Having been raised on Pepsi I have long been a fan of carbonated drinks. Pepsi and Coke were in my mouth more than water during the days of my youth. As I grew older I started to gain weight and the moment arrived that I needed to stop drinking so much soda. In an effort to not give up my soda I decided that I needed to switch to a diet soda. The rationalization is that by skipping all of the sugar I would be helping the cause of my weight loss. The one thing I had not planned on was that by drinking diet soda I was adding artificial sweeteners into my body and that they were worse for me than sugar. Aspartame and Splenda arrived on the scene and I was thrilled to be able to not give up my passion for soda.
As I journeyed through my life I started to hear about all of the horror stories about how the sweeteners were bad for you and how they really were harmful to my body. As time went by I started to hear more and more stories of how if it was not natural, it was bad and that artificial sweeteners were bad for my body. As time bounced along I have come to realize that corporations are greedy and the only things out there creating the stuff were corporations.
I have come to realize, through education that I need to avoid diet soda as much as possible. If you doubt this there is an entire assortment of reading out there that drives home this point. The knowledge of how this stuff can kill you is published; one just needs to stop ignoring the facts and pay attention. If you are still not convinced that diet soda is one thing you need to avoid then chances are you are having difficulty with your attempts at weight loss. Most people do not realize that there is a sizeable amount of sodium added to diet soda. This salt hampers your weight loss and chnces are you ignore this fact.
If you are serious about losing when then you need to be serious about cutting out diet soda because the diet soda may not only make you fat, it can make you dead.

You are so write about diet soda drinks. They can do far more harm than good. Far better to refresh yourself with nice fresh water. I tend to drink a lot of carbonated water as I find it more refreshing. Combined with some nice fruit cordial I find it equally as refreshing as any diet soda. It’s really a matter of changing unhealthy habits for healthy ones.
So true. I love pepsi and drank a few bottles everday. I used to wake up and drink one to get started and have them untill i went to sleep. I never liked the diet ones so i cut down to one a day now.
I know the diet ones have worse things in them so i never bothered with them. I think the worse thing to ever happen is when companies switched from real sugar to fruitose corn based sweetners. That and the artifical ones are the worst thing you can ever eat or drink.
