Tired of Dieting
Being tired of dieting is really another way of covertly stating that you are really not dieting very well. The reason I say this is because if a person is trying to lose weight the amount of time spent really should be a finite experience. I say this because most people that are tired of dieting feel that way because they are really sort of floating along and not accomplishing much of anything, in the area of weight loss. This can be realized if you can look back on your recent life and remember a few years worth of resolutions that have come and faded away until next year. If you are tired of dieting it is really because you are not doing that good of a job at losing weight. You essentially are on a continuous merry-go-round of yo-yo dieting, with no real forward movement.
What you need to understand about dieting is that if you really want to lose the weight you would not be so wishy-washy about getting it done. I have never been one to speak “nice” out here on my blog, so I will not start here by trying to comfort you into thinking that being on a 5 year diet is acceptable, to anyone other than yourself. In reality you may have been trying to lose weight for a few years and are not really tired of dieting…you are really just tired of all the failed attempts to lose weight. Maybe it is time you stopped trying to diet and just tried to lose weight?
Since I am sitting here, I do not know anything at all about you, but I will venture to make a few general assessments of what brought you to this article. See how many of the following statements can apply to yourself.
- Have tried to lose weight for 5 years+
- Have tried more than 5 weight loss methods
- Have initially lost weight and now weigh more than you started
- Have little will power to stay on the diet
- Have tried at least one diet pill
- Have some unused exercise equipment, like a bike or a treadmill
- Have, or had an unused gym membership
If a few of the points above point to yourself, then let me tell you why you feel as if you are tired of dieting……
The reason why you feel like you are tired of trying to lose weight is because you really do not have a clue as to what you need to do to lose weight. You scan the food labels and look at the fat content and the carbohydrates and have all of these hazy thoughts fading in and out what you think is fact and fiction. You meander through all the weight loss commercials and you get sucked into the latest fad because you are like a leaf floating down the river, with no control of your direction because you are really clueless about what it takes to lose weight. You are not really tired of dieting…you are really tired of not knowing what needs to be done so you can finally get rid of your weight once and for all.
The reason why I can make you look at yourself so well is because I am not worried about being socially acceptable, and I really do not give a hoot about hurting your feelings because it is time that you took control of your weight loss once and for all. I say this because if you do not put your stake in the ground somewhere, to grab hold of the situation….where will you be in 5 more years? You are already worried about prescription medications, and diabetes, and all of the other crap that comes along with being fat. (Yes, I did say fat.) If you don’t take a moment to figure it all out what will be the excuse to your kids when you die too young? If you do not die suddenly you can expect that being obese does not allow you to have much quality of life, as you get older. If you do not grab a hold of the situation…..get ready for the downward spiral of health.
Sure….you may skip past this brazen article and ignore what these words say…but in the back of your mind you know the situation is festering, and your only real argument is that you are tired of dieting? WELL, the only thing I have to say to you is that you just need to stop dieting and get the damn weight off. If you are a healthy person and are sitting there thinking that I am a horrible person for writing this let me tell you that there are no trophies received for just showing up. You have one life to live and if you do not get your act together……what kind of life will you be living in 5 years? 10 years? If you do not make a definitive change in your life…what do you expect to change?
I can relate to where you are right now because I was there not too long ago. I remember the day I went to my doctor and was told that I had to make a change, or I was going to be a diabetic in less than 6 months. I wasted too much time looking for a way to lose weight and it was not until I found
Medifast…that I was finally able to stop dieting and simply lose the weight. I am out here trying to tell you that if you do not figure it out fairly soon….your life has nowhere to go but down in health. Obesity is one of the MAJOR reasons people die before their time. If a heart attack does not get you right away, you have a good chance of slowly decaying away in quality of life. Only you can make the change.
I am really not here to tell you what program will work for you, I can only tell you that
Medifast worked for me in under 6 months. It can work for you too…but whatever you decide to do please do yourself a favor and just decide. There really is no reason that you would be tired of dieting, if you were actually focused and actually losing weight. If you want to lose 100 pounds there is no reason that 6 months from this very moment you too can reclaim your life, and your health.
You just need to get it done and then you realize that dieting is NOT a life long event…or least it does not have to be one.

Type II Diabetic Healing Done Naturally
Modern medicine can only do what it can do when you are a Type II diabetic. You have been told that what you need to do to fight off diabetes is watch what you eat and exercise. Well…no duh! If I could do all that then I would not be a Type II diabetic in the first place. I watched The Biggest LoserCouples, Season 7 January 20th, 2009 episode and I watched the doctor tell two contestants that after only three weeks of diet and exercise they were able to throw away over 15 prescriptions. Yet when you go to the doctor they want to write you a prescription for a pill. The sad truth is that pill only treats the symptoms and does nothing for the root problem, which is diabetes. If you do not make a change then Diabetic Supplies
will become a way of life that you will always have to deal with, day in and day out.
We are not going to tell you that diet and exercise is not useful but let’s face reality, how far has the treatment from the doctor gotten you? If you just keep doing what you are doing you can only expect to increase the amount of medication you need year after year after year. If you do not make a change you may lose a toe or a foot in the future from amputation. The end result of the present treatment of Type II diabetes holds a pretty bleak future if you do not make a change in how you treat the core problem of diabetes.
What you put into your body in the form of food is what got you into this situation in the first place. What we want to bring to your attention is a way to fight Type II that is natural and treats the actual issue and does not mask the problem with some un-natural pill or shot. What we want to show you is an all natural and totaly healthy way to fight the issues that are presented to a Type II diabetic. Learn how to lower blood sugar naturally and cure insulin resistance. Learn how to eliminate the use of diabetic drugs and insulin the way it should happen and that is the natural way.
What we want to offer you is a way to treat the problem illness of diabetes and stop just treating the symptoms. There are not a whole bunch of things we recommend but this Diabetic Warrior Website is worth taking a look. We only mention it to you to help you learn what you can do to take charge of your life and stop only treating the symptoms and not the problem. Learn how to heal the body right here and right now!
Over 40 and Over Weight
The doctor told me that I was over weight and that did not really phase me much anymore because I had heard it for so long. I was about 45 years old and I had been overweight for years and yet at this meeting with my doctor he just looked at me and said that if I did not lose weight I would be a type 2 diabetic in about 6 months. When he said that I was stunned, but not because of what he had told me, but because of how casual of a conversation it had become for the doctor. I am not railing against the doctor, quite the contrary. I was dismayed and humbled by the cold stark reality of what he was telling me. He told me flat out…”you will be a diabetic” and then continued on with some other unremembered conversation.
What I took away from that meeting was that becoming a diabetic was going to be in my life soon if I continued to ignore the warnings. I decided it was time to do something. The sad part about the entire experience is that “becoming a diabetic” is becoming more and more common. The casual tone of the doctor is what bit me in the consciousness that made me go out and lose weight. I was in my mid forties and thought I was about 60 pounds over weight. (Reality it was 115 pounds) and I was really in not that good of physical shape.
You really do not know me and I sure as heck do not know you, but for this one brief instant in time let me tell you that if you are 1oo pounds, or more overweight, then you are in a serious risk of many, many diseases and health risks. So many that I will not even bother to list them on this brief rant against obesity. If you are sitting there let me ask you one more question before you go?
What is your BMI? (Click Here to reveal you BMI)
Once you have obtained your healthy BMI from the chart I am guessing that you think the BMI is way off and you never have to lose that much weight? You rationalize to yourself why you do not think that the BMI is what you think it to be. You may even mention the name of a person you know to prove the BMI is too low for you ever achieve.
My only respnse to your denial of the validity of the BMI chart to be a symptom of the problem that you are indeed overweight to the morbid degree? Since I have given up trying to convince those that believe nothing…I want you to know one thing.
I was overweight and headed to be a diabetic, if I did not lose weight.
I started Medifast and I lost 112 pounds.
The stuff works!
Period!
I am over trying to convince people because people will only do what they want to do… and Medifast and weight loss are really no different. I have started people on Medifast that were diabetic, and for the first month they lost an amazing amount of weight. One man (Stephen) even reduced his insulin does significantly on a daily basis. He was doing great and then yet I saw him in the break room eating powdered donuts and drinking a full sugar Coke! I asked him why he was still not trying and he shrugged his shoulders in an an apathetic motion that really was just an outward manifestation of his overall desire. The point I have learned is that if a person wants to lose weight and is willing to do what it takes, they will lose weight. Being over 40 years of age really only makes it a tad bit more difficult. Being overweight and over the age of 40 really should not stop a person from losing weight because it really is just an excuse to not do anything.
I was over 40 and I struggled with my weight for years. Heck…I still sort of struggle because I love to eat. The only difference is that I “rebooted” my body by losing 115 pounds and now I just manage that loss. Since I am now approaching 50 years old I am more keen than ever on the benefits of Medifast. You can check out more of our story and more of our (Sue and I) beliefs at our blog FatExcusesBeGone.com.
Whatever you decide to do I only hope you decide to do something before you are stricken by an obesity related illness. Being over 40 and overweight does not make one excuse the other!
Diabesity
Gaining weight and being obese is an issue that has crept into the lives of millions of Americans and there is no end in sight…unless there is a major shift in many areas all at once. The issues for obesity range from mass-produced unhealthy cheap foods, to lazy lifestyles. I am not here to discuss the reasons why people are overweight because that is not why you are reading this article. You are here because you have ignored the fact that you have been gaining weight every year. You have now reached a point where you realize that you have to do something, or you will become a diabetic, or have recently discovered that you are a Type II diabetic. Maybe you knew the weight situation wasn’t the best thing to allow to happen, but that no longer matters because now you urgently feel the need to make a change. There is a relatively new term out for the situation you are dealing with, and that term is diabesity.
The first thing I want you to understand is that I am not a doctor, and I am not providing medical advice but I also want you to know that I speak passionately from the heart. I too peered into the face a becoming diabetic, and it really woke me up to reality. There are many causes for becoming diabetic, but the ones I want to zero in on are the ones that are sweeping the nation. Those reasons are dietary and lifestyle. The reason many people one day wake up to the real fear of diabetes is because of the abundance of cheap food that contains an abundance of empty calories that are mainly from quickly absorbed sugars, liquids and carbohydrates. Since I am not a doctor, and all that fancy doctor talk bores me, it is my goal to explain what is going in plain and understandable terms.
The first thing you should realize in the discussion of diabesity is that you need to understand there are two different forms of diabetes, and they are referred to as either Type I diabetes or Type II diabetes. Type I diabetes commonly refers to having a need to inject insulin into your body, while Type II diabetes does not. Type I diabetes is not reversible, while Type II diabetes is very reversible. Before we get into a “cure” for Type II diabetes lets look into what gets a person there in the first place.
As you travel through your normal days of life, you aged, and did little in the form of exercise while eating more and more foods that were loaded with carbohydrates and sugars. You body needs a fuel source and when you eat sugar, you are providing fuel. What most people do not realize is that your body cannot easily break down carbohydrates, so it turns them into sugar, which also needs to be processed in pretty much the same manner as sugar, or corn syrup. When you drink a sugar laden beverage or eat a carbohydrate loaded meal, you are dumping a massive workload for your body to process. In fact, the main culprit will also be found in bread, rice, pasta, rice and potatoes. as well as the sugar laden beverages. Regardless of where you are getting the mega dose of sugars and carbohydrates, the end result is the same, as you repeatedly bombard your body.
Over the years your body has become resistant to the effects of insulin and your body will require more and more insulin to break down the foods you eat. Because your body gets used to the presence of the insulin, your body needs to go into over-drive to break down the sugars and carbs. This is known as insulin resistance and this is the beginning of the end for many people, if they are not paying attention. If you are at this point in your life you better wake up because if you do not…you can very easily slip down a slope of poor health that there can be no recovery.
The first thing you need to know, understand and comprehend is that if you are currently in danger of being a Type II diabetic…you can reverse the situation and lead a very, very long and healthy life. This article is not intended to be one that discusses general diabetes because those that need to take insulin are in a category all by themselves. The person I want to grab the attention of is the individual that is sitting behind the computer monitor and is fearing Type II diabetes, and that fear is all a direct result of being overweight. This is why a new word has hit the world, and that word is “diabesity.”
I will not sugar-coat (no pun intended) what I am saying because I am not a doctor, and I do not fear about being politically correct on this blog. What I want to say is simply that you found this article because you searched for information on diabetes and obesity. Since the search engines brought you here, and since I now have your attention I hope you realize that your body will no longer allow you to simply switch off the page and life will continue as if nothing is going on inside your skin. If you are concerned about being a Type II diabetic, and you are overweight you currently have a choice that has to be made. That choice is a simple choice and it can only be made by you…the one it will affect. Your choices are as follows;
I Choose Nothing
If you choose to do nothing life will continue to be the same for a short period of time. In fact, you will forget all about this article and the world will seem fine until the day comes that you find yourself either in a doctor’s examination room, or the emergency room. A blood test will be run, and you will be diagnosed as a diabetic and your life will only continue with the addition of insulin injections each and everyday. Sadly enough, this is what many, many Americans choose to do, so do not worry, you will not be alone. You will simply start to monitor your blood everyday and start sticking yourself with needles, at least once everyday for the rest of your now shortened life.
At this point in life you have now entered a new group of statistics and as you get older diabetes will start to ravage your body and over time your quality of life will slide to unrecoverable levels. You will age prematurely and overall, the quality of life will decline. Your future illnesses will range from simple amputations of things like your feet… to going blind, or both.
Sounds like fun huh?
I Choose Thin
The name of this website is not called I Choose Thin by coincidence. We named it that because being thin for many people is a choice. You either choose to be become thin, or you choose to remain obese. If you choose to be thin, then it will take an effort on your part. I have been dealing with my own demons to remain thin and what I can tell you right now, as you search for answers, I have already gone down that road. I am not better than you, and in essence, I am you because I can feel the heaviness of the masses searching for answers. The sad part is that many of those masses end up wandering in the dark with no real direction of what to do.
I remember my doctor handing me some government pamphlet and wishing me luck with no real direction, other than the pamphlet! I remember walking out of that doctor’s office in a state of shock because I hate needles and the reality of becoming a full blown diabetic hit me square in the face… and it scared me in ways I had never experienced before.
Enough about me….what are you going to do? What are you going to do because you are now experiencing the same dread of the future?
If you made it this far in the article I would normally add a link to Medifast because that program is what saved me, but if I were to do that I feel as if it in some way cheapens this overall article in a way that seems like I am merely trying to sell something…which is not my goal. If you get nothing more from this article than the fact that I have shaken you from the daily reality that has caused you to suffer from diabesity…I have achieved my goal.
What I want to do is extend a hand of “paying it forward” by taking the bold step and leaving my phone number for you to call me if you need help, assistance or answers. Please remember that I am NOT a doctor, I am simply you searching for answers. Do not worry about the time of day, because the assistance I offer contains no restrictions and only the promise of hope. If you call…I will answer and I will try my best to explain to you why Medifast can bring you back to a quality of life you gave up on! I will NEVER ask you for money, credit cards or anything like that.
You call, I answer, I explain. Nothing more, nothing less! You just need to be able to hear the truth about your health and take some form of action. What that action will be is 100% up to……you!

Quitting Smoking and Losing Weight
I received an email from someone this morning that I never met before. By the end of the letter I was in the presence of a friend who wanted to quit smoking and was afraid she was going to gain weight. I read about her hopes and dreams of what she wanted to accomplish and it was great to hear about her newfound desire to start a healthier lifestyle.
I want everyone to know that what she is accomplishing in her three smoke free days is fabulous. She has quit for three days. The next part of the letter was where I wanted to reach out and hug her and ask her to stop being so critical about herself. She was telling me the wonderful things she has recently accomplished and I could sense the well deserved pride in her achievements. What did worry me was the fact that she gave herself little credit for what she had done. She HAD quit smoking for 3 days. She HAD started an exercise program. I felt as if she was pinning her achievements on something that was to occur in the future and she bypassed the here and now. She was not giving herself the well deserved pat on the back she needed for starting the healthy choices she had recently accomplished.
How often do we all do this?
How often do we look in the mirror and only are critical of what we see? I exercise and then think it was not hard enough. I eat healthier foods and I then am critical that maybe I ate too much. I look in the mirror and all too often I only see a reflection that is too critical of what is inside the body that is only a vessel that carries my spirit. We all need to stop and we all need to take a moment to live in the moment. We need to stop looking at the clock and waiting for 5 o’clock. We need to stop being so unloving about ourselves and the little accomplishments we make on a daily basis.
So yes Margaret, I am proud of you and I know that if you can only use your mind to harness that infinitely powerful spirit you will not only be able to quit smoking but you will be able to lose the weight and be the person you really see in the mirror. Because that critical reflection is really not you, it is only the outward manifestation of what you allow to be.
