Lean and Green Meal Idea: Vicki’s Stir Fry

This meal came from someone I feel as if has become a friend, through our telephone conversations. Since she has not named this Lean and Green Meal idea that she made at home, I have come up with the name “Vicki’s Stir Fry.” The meal is very simple to prepare and the part that impressed me the most about this at home Medifast Lean and Green Meal idea is that Vicki says she hates “anything that has to do with food preparation!!!” I have not tried the meal yet, but it has definitely been added to the rotation of foods in my menu.
Since she uses the weight chart for vegetables I sent her (if you want a copy, send email to KeithQbush@Gmail.com) she used the following ingredients.
5 ounces of ground beef
1 serving of asparagus
1 serving of cucumbers
1 Serving of tomatoes
She cooked it all up allowing the minimal fat from the lean beef to “grease” the pan for the veggies and added some pepper and a spritz salad dressing spray that fit very comfortable into her tastes and the plan guidelines. She chose one that was only 2 carbs, per 10 sprays. We also discussed the fact that she could have added some Mrs. Dash Seasonings to the raw beef, or even used some ketchup as a topping, with my recommendation to use reduced sugar ketchup.
The best part of this recipe (to me) was not that it looked so tempting and flavorful, nor the fact that it was an extremely healthy meal. The part that I loved was not whether the meal was on the Medifast Lean and Green Meal plan. The best part about this recipe was that I now can see that Vicki is starting to “get it,” which is extremely rewarding to witness. Once a person starts to think “out of the box” looking for ways to claim and maintain their health….they become the person they have been searching to become!!!!
I am very proud to see Vicki make this healthy ascension of sorts! Go Girl!

Medifast Revolution Rolls: A Definitive Answer
When I first heard of Revolution Rolls I was asked about them in the context of being able to eat them and staying on plan with Medifast. I looked around the web and found many recipes and was surprised at how compatible Revolution Rolls are with Medifast. The one thing I did note, on my search, was that nobody agrees on the portion size and even fewer agree on the ingredients to be used.
What I have done to help you on your quest for information about Medifast and Revolution Rolls is to provide you a definitive answer of how good or bad they may be when trying to lose weight with Medifast.
What you need to understand is that having a Revolution roll is not going to hurt your weight loss progress, with Medifast, as long as you are paying attention to the recipe being used. To explain the portion sizes of the the Revolution Rolls, with the Lean and Green Meal, you just need to realize that three eggs equals one complete protein serving. This recipe calls for three eggs, which means one batch is equal to one complete daily serving of protein, for the lean and Green Meal. If you follow the recipe, and the portion size, you will be able to stay in the fat burn that Medifast dieters covet, and strive to maintain.
What you need to understand is that this article discusses this recipe. Do not take this information and apply it to another Revolution Roll recipe. I want to state this because the information in this article is only valid for this recipe, as I have no idea what other recipes you may be looking to use.
As you get deeper into the idea of using a Revolution Roll with the Medifast program, you need to think of the rolls in the context of how they will fit into your overall 5 and 1 Meal Plan. Right from the start I have to clarify that if you decide to eat these rolls, they will be part of your serving of protein, for your daily Lean and Green Meal.
The part that you need to pay attention to is the serving size of the rolls that you bake. If you used all of the ingredients you will have used all of the available protein to be consumed in one day. So….we suggest you portion the rolls into six rolls. If you ate all six, that would be all the lean for your Medifast Lean and Green Meal. If you ate four rolls that would be 2/3 of the lean portion. The most common thing done is to use all the ingredients listed and then portion it out to 6 rolls, and then eat 2 rolls. That would still allow you to eat another source of protein, such as chicken, with the same Lean and Green Meal.
The directions on how to prepare, and cook, a Revolution Roll would be as follows, with the understanding that no matter how you size the rolls, you need to eat all of the batter used to obtain 100% of the needed protein. Also, per the Medifast Condiment requirements you should only eat 3 eggs one time a week and you need to consider that, when adding Revolution Rolls to your Medifast routine.
Instructions:
- Ingredients: 3 eggs at room temp (1 Lean) 3 tablespoons light cream cheese at room temp (3 Condiments) A pinch or 1/16 tsp cream of tartar (you can use white vinegar or lemon juice as a substitute) 1 packet splenda (1 Condiment)
- Instructions: Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Separate egg whites from egg yolks, putting whites in one bowl and yolks in another bowl. Add cream of tartar (or vinegar or lemon juice) to whites. Beat whites on high until stiff peaks form. Set aside.
- Add cream cheese and Splenda to yolks. Whisk yolk mixture until blended. Gently whisk yolk mixture into whites being careful to not over mix and make the whites fall. On a cookie sheet lined w parchment paper, make six equal sized blobs, not touching.
- Bake at 350 for 30 to 35 minutes (Ours cooked in 25 minutes). They are good warm, but also great cold and they can be toasted without problem! Freeze the left overs in plastic wrap or individual sandwich bags or keep them in the fridge for up to 5 days in a large Ziploc Bag. I even have toasted them to make them crispy again!
- Makes 6 Rolls or 3 servings
- 2 Rolls is 1/3 Lean and 1.33 Condiments if using regular cream cheese instead of light cream cheese, 2 rolls is 1/3 Lean, 0.16 Condiments.
What you also need to realize is that you should pay attention to the Medifast Condiment requirements and note that you can have up to 3 condiments per day and if you ate ALL six of the rolls you will only be allowed to do that once a week, (Let me say it again!) because of the fact you ate what amounted to being 3 whole eggs.
In closing Medifast and Revolution Rolls go very well together as long as you follow the recipe and portion sizes. After you decide on the portion size you then need to make the next calculation and factor the overall protein consumption into your overall Lean and Green Meal.

Lean and Green Meal at Red Robin
Today I stumbled upon a great place for a Medifast Lean and Green Meal, while shopping in the mall. I never expected to discover a Lean and Green meal idea in a Red Robin hamburger restaurant. Granted the meal is not as good as I would be able to do at home, but overall the outcome is pretty good considering that you are trying to not only lose weight, but also learn to eat ways that are healthy. This Medifast Lean and Green meal idea at Red Robin really was pretty good and I was glad I found it, so now on to the review so you can make a decision if you want to give it a try. I will be reviewing the Red Robin Lettuce Wrap Protein Burger.
The first thing you need to be aware of when you set out to order this meal is that your server is going to make little effort to make sure your order is filled the way it needs to be filled to maintain Medifast fatburn. The point I want to scorch into your thought process is that you are going to have to make sure that you are precise in what and how you order your food.
The first thing is that when you order your server will “zero” in on the phrase “lettuce wrap” and more than likely ask you what kind of burger you want to have. At Red Robin you build your burger and to get what you need you must remember to request the Red Robin Lettuce Wrap Protein Burger. After you set the record straight you then must state what you are going to have on your burger. It is highly suggested that you simply get no more than what you want. Skip the cheese, and the onions and ensure you really want tomatoes and pickles . If you need a sauce you are in luck because those will be on your table, and you can be as stingy as desired. It is strongly suggested you go very light on the ketchup, or just have the mustard. The reason for this is simply because of the carbohydrates that are found in the ketchup, which your body will convert to sugar. On Medifast carbs are bad and will kick you out of fat burn.
(List of Condiments allowed on Medifast)
With your burger you will also have a side-salad, and once again you will need to tell your server what you do notwant in your salad. Also you will need to choose a salad dressing, which is no big deal if you know how to eat the salad. Make sure you order simply lettuce and skip the cheese, onions and croutons. Also, you need to request your salad dressing to be on the side, which is why the type of dressing will prove to be insignificant.
Whenever you have salad dressing, with a salad, make sure you get it on the side and never ever pour it on your salad. The reason why you want it on the side is because you will be dipping your fork in the dressing before each fork pierces the lettuce. By dipping the fork first and then picking up the lettuce two things are essentially happening. The first thing is that you will get the flavor of the dressing on each and every bite, and it will actually taste really good. The second thing that is crucial to your weight loss is that by eating the salad this way you have cut back your dressing consumption to virtually nothing. This simple trick is awesome and it is highly suggested you always eat your salad in this manner.
When you order your burger simply specify you want a Red Robin Lettuce Wrap Protein Burger and if you are careful how you order and eat your salad, you will be well on your way to enjoying a meal out and still being able to remain very close to your requirements for a Medifast Lean and Green meal. Below I have added a chart to show you to see the nutrition for this meal. Although the fat content may be higher than desired, the important thing to remember is that sugar is ZERO and the carbs are from the lettuce, which means you have not blown your fat burn. If you understand Medifast, as you should, you will quickly recognize how important it is to maintain fat burn.
If you are struggling with Medifast I want you to know that Medifast really does work, and it works really well. Medifast is awesome and that is why I keep putting ideas here in my spare time. If you come up with a great place to eat out, please email me below and I will put it up here. If you need any help at all with the program you can also sent me an email as I would love to help.
I wish you luck on your weight loss journey and if you need encouragement, knowledge, inspiration or whatever…..

Lean and Green Meal Idea For Eating Out
Since I am a die-hard Medifast user and love to follow the plan even though I have lost all of my weight, I am always on the look out for Lean and Green Meal ideas. Since I have reached my optimal weight and my optimal health I want to keep it that way for life. Because of the new health I have found I want to take shape of my future in a way that will allow me to keep the weight off for the rest of my forever. Since I found the Medifast Meal Plan so effective I find myself still trying to stick to the plan when I am eating out. For this brief article I want to say that today I ate my Lean and Green Meal at a restaurant that you may have close to you. That restaurant for me today was Moe’s. (Moe’s Menu)
This was the first time I ate at a Moe’s restaurant looking for a Lean and Green Meal idea and I was quite impressed with the food. I thought the pricing of the add-on items was a bit deceptive, but the overall concept of eating a Lean and Green Meal there worked out quite well. I will not go into what you can have on a Lean and Green Meal because if you are a faithful Medifast person you will know what you should and what you should not put into your food. Since I am not trying to stay in fat burning any longer I am a little less strict about what I eat, but yet I still try to follow the Lean and Green guidelines.
If you want to find out the requirements for a STRICT Lean and Geen Meal then this link is provided as a quick reference for you to refer to if you are out and about reading this brief article on your phone.
What I ate at Moe’s today I had what was recommended to me by someone that has helped me succeed in the Medifast Weight Loss Program. What I ate today went really well to fit into a Lean and Green Meal. What I had was under the salad portion of the menu and it was the “close talker.” An important thing to note was that I ordered it without the shell and it was served on a plate. As I was placing my order I was able to proceed down the line and state to the server the items that I wanted to add to my meal. I had the steak close talker with lettuce, pinto beans, cucumbers and a viariety of other items that suited my taste. The one thing I skipped was the sauce selection and instead opted to just go ahead with salsa as the topping.
For eating out this Lean and Green Meal idea worked out really well and I know that I will return there to eat again one day. If you are looking for a Lean and Green Meal idea that you can have when you are eating out I strongly suggest that you look for the nearest Moe’s restaurant because you won’t be disappointed and you will be able to stay on plan.
