Medifast Health Mate Blender Review
I am a Medifast believer because I am a Medifast user and I must admit I was wrong in not getting the Medifast Health Mate Blender right from the start. I wanted to save some money when we first ordered Medifast because we already had a blender in the house and did not think we needed one. The blender we first used was your typical $25.00 one you would find at Wal-Mart, Target or any other store. I will tell you the reason why we did not order the new blender from Medifast was because I was trying to save some money. After realizing my mistake I decided to order the blender and that is why I am writing this Medifast Health Mate Blender review.
I think I paid right around $50.00 to have the Health Mate Blender shipped to my door. When the package arrived the first thing I realized was just how much more convenient the Medifast Blender really can be. When I used my old blender I quickly realized that it was quite messy and created too many things to wash every time it was used. When we started to use The Medifast Blender and realized that the cup you drink out of is the same “cup” that sits on the blender, we knew there were some definite advantages to using a better blender. This alone means that the only thing I have to rinse off is the blade portion of the blender, since the cup is well…the cup you use to drink out of to enjoy the Medifast Shake.
I could write about this and still not be able to tell you everything that is in the video link below. The video is not the best quality but the content should be enough to make you realize the advantages you can have with the Medifast Health Mate Blender.

Medifast Product Review: Chocolate Chip Pancakes

For this review of Medifast Chocolate Chip Pancakes I have to report that I really enjoyed it and yet I still have the same complaint as most of the other Medifast products. In this review, as others I must tell you that it tasted great but there just did not seem to be enough of it for me to be satisfied. The interesting part of my journey using Medifast is that I now understand that the reason I WASoverweight was because I never realized when enough food was enough food. As always I sat down to eat my Medifast Chocolate Chip Pancakes and made a mental note that the portion was small. In my early days of Medifast
I almost went into a panic over the portion size and despite all of my fears I have never gone hungry. What I am saying here is that because of my Medifast journey I have come to understand that I have an unhealthy emotional attachment to the need to always eat more food than my body needs. I can strongly make this statement with the realization that after I ate my Medifast Chocolate Chip Pancakes this morning I wanted more, but yet just a few minutes later the “spell” of needing more was broken. When I first looked at the small plate of Medifast hotcakes I knew I could have eaten 15 to 20 of them, but that is the singular reason why I used to be overweight. I used to not understand that I was eating myself into an early grave and never made the association that I was fat because I ate too much at meal time. Today being like any other day, I sat down to eat my Medifast Pancakes and despite what many “outsiders” may think about the portion size, I was comforted in understanding that I would rather be eating smaller portions and 80 pounds lighter. I was able to eat those Medifast pancakes and then I was able to happily put the fork down and walk away from the plate. I now understand that I will not starve to death and after just a moment of not sitting in front of the food, I now understand I will not even be hungry!
Medifast Chocolate Chip Pancakes are great tasting and yes, I was even able to taste a subtle chocolate taste in almost every bite. I applied Walden Farms Pancake Syrupon top and they were really great tasting. What I want you to understand is that what is more important than the flavor is the fact that the pancakes are attached to the bigger and vital program of Medifast Meals that has enabled my wife and I to lose many pounds. The pancakes taste great, they really do, but that does not change the fact that I have learned to control my portion size and that control has given me back my life. That life has helped me lose over 31 pounds in just 40 days!
Medifast Chocolate Chip Pancakes are great tasting, nutritional packed and gets a double thumbs up review. To agree with this review you will not be able to sit down and eat just one Medifast Meal and make an accurate assessment of the overall program. What I mean by this is that to understand the Medifast Weight Loss Program… sitting down for one correctly portioned pancake meal will not give you the best overview of what to expect in the program. In order to be a Medifast believer you need to immerse yourself into the plan and when you are eating every few hours you too will not only lose quite a few pounds, you will start to understand your over all emotions towards your personal obesity.
Medifast Chocolate Chip Pancakes taste great and the only thing better than that is the fact that I now understand not only WHY I was fat, but now I know what I need to be doing to lose weight and what is life changing to me at this very moment is the fact that I AM losing weight….pancakes and all!

Medifast Review: Day #7, Health Mate Blender Is The Best Choice
I have been using Medifast for seven days now and today is the first day that I got to try out the Medifast Health Mate Blender. I am sorry to say that the reason I did not order the Medifast Health Mate Blender with my initial and original order of The Medifast Meal Plan was because I was too cheap. I had an old clunker of a blender in the kitchen and I thought that it would be sufficient to mix up all of my Medifast concoctions. Well….I was wrong because not having a suitable blender almost gave me the wrong first impression of Medifast shakes and drinks.

When I placed the order I thought that it was a bit expensive and I thought I would just go to Wal-Mart or Target and get what I needed there. I even read on a Medifast forum that there was one at Wal-Mart that was about $17.00. My wife and I went and found nothing that even came close to the ease and convenience of the Medifast Health Mate Blender. It was the same story at Target and every other store I went into, except Bed Bath and Beyond. In that store I found the Magic Bullet Express 17-Piece High-Speed Blender Mixing System. The price there was a tad bit over $50.00 so I decided to not get it until I looked on Amazon.com.
On Amazon.com I searched and searched and when I added in the price of shipping, I decided to just order the Medifast Health Mate Blender, which was the less expensive choice. Now that you see the typical level of cheapness that resides in my soul I would like to take a few moments to reveal to you why I should have ordered the Health Mate Blender right from the start off the Medifast Official Site.
The first shake that I made in my old blender I really had no clue what I was doing, despite the fact that I thought I did know. The blender I had was over-kill in size and as a result, I added too much ice and I always made a mess because the darn blender was made to blend alot larger things than one Medifast shake. After I pulled it out and mixed up the shake and poured it into a cup…I had a mess. Since my wife and I are doing Medifast as a couple, we had to clean out the blender each and every time. We even went to Wal-Mart and purchased more cups that were larger to be able to hold the Medifast shakes. We soon thought that to make a shake for two people we had top have a big event in the kitchen.
We grew tired of all the glasses that were getting dirty and the constant rinsing of the blender, so we took the dive and ordered a Health Mate Blender from Medifast. Since it arrived today, which is day #7 on using Medifast, I spent the entire first week mixing the stuff up and not realizing I was not doing a great job. Tonight I realized that the entire Health Mate Blender not only was simple to use and clean, it helped me to realize how screwed up my ice addition measures really were poorly chosen. I did not dislike the Medifast shakes because they were not that bad, or at least that is what I thought.
Tonight I used the Medifast blender for the first time and I no longer have to worry about cleaning the blender everytime because the cup I drink from IS the blender. it cleverly sits right on top of the blender while mixing and when it is done you just flip the cup over and unscrew the blades, which is easy. No longer did I have to clean the blender between each use because there was no longer a mess. This alone was worth the price of putting the old blender away because of the convenience and ease of the new blender.
The last thing I realized about the Medifast Health Mate Blender is that if I would have had it from day one I would not have ruined the taste of those first drinks. So, if you are thinking about ordering Medifast and are debating whether or not to get the blender from Medifast save yourself the pain my wife and I endured and just order it and have it available from day #1. The advantage of doing Medifast right from day one could mean the difference between weight loss success and weight loss failure. If you have the money available I recommend that when you place your Medifast order you just pass up the problems my wife and I had to deal with because we did not start the program with the Medifast Health Mate Blender.
In short, the blender is just a great idea to help contribute to your Medifast Weight Loss success.

Medifast Product Review: Dutch Chocolate Shake
It is my intention to offer a Medifast Product review for each and every Medifast item that is available. For this review I would like to discuss my experience with the Medifast Dutch Chocolate Shake. Today I ate one for the very first time and I must tell you that initially I really did not think that it was that good. As a matter of fact my first thought of the dutch chocolate shake was that it was nasty, but once again one single packet of Splenda saved the moment.

After I added one pack of Splenda I thought that it tasted really great. The way I did it was that I took the mix and I added it to one cup of cold tap water. After I had the tap water and the mix in a blender I then added 10 ice cubes from my automatic ice maker.
After I added the ice to the water I turned on my blender at some amazingly fast speed and ground the heck out of it for about 10 to 15 seconds. I took a small sip of it and it tasted really “BLAH!” It was at that time that I added one packet of Slenda and the taste went from BLAH! to wonderful. It is amazing how much of a difference just one packet of Splenda can do for the taste.
If you are just starting Medifast I suggest that you too first taste it without sweetener and only add it if you feel like you must. What I must say is that the flavor was so good that despite my attempt to drink it slowly as directed, I just wanted to down it because it tasted really, really good.
What I must say is that this Medifast Shake was so good I could forget that I was drinking something that was so healthy. What I am also noticing is that despite what I would refer to as a small portion size I have started to recognize that the portion is sufficient to satisfy my hunger. It really amazes me and yet I do have a hard time “wrapping my head around” the idea that I can eat a small portion like one Medifast Dutch Chocolate Shake and within just a few minutes my mind is off being hungry.

Medifast Product Review: Chocolate Pudding
For this Medifast Product Review I am taking a look at my experiences with the chocolate pudding. Before I even get into talking about the Medifast version of chocolate pudding let me tell you that I am a pudding connoisseur and I love it and used to eat it every single day. My wife and I would have the 60 calorie type and sit in front of the television every night enjoying our daily share of various pudding flavors. Despite eating some almost daily we always fell back to our favorite flavor, which was some version or combination that involved the flavor chocolate. So as you get into this review of my opinion of Medifast chocolate pudding you need to understand that my pudding standards are higher than most people may have. When it comes to chocolate flavored pudding my taste standards are more than likely incredibly high. I love chocolate and I really love chocolate pudding!
I have eaten my fair share of Medifast chocolate pudding and I have some good and bad news for this short review. I must admit that the flavor of the pudding is awesome because it does have a rich chocolate flavor, but that is really where the “awesomeness” ends. Despite how great the flavor tastes I must confess that the problem is not with the flavor it is with the texture or more accurately…the lack of solidness.
(Update: After much experimentation I have been able to achieve a more pudding like consistancy by adding slightly less water. Please refer to the way I prepare Medifast Vanilla Pudding as the method is the same and the consistency is much better.VANILLA ARTICLE LINK: CLICK HERE)
I have experimented with different quantities of the water added and I have always come up with the short fall that exists because it never really gets that soft pudding solidness that I have always had in pudding choices. The Medifast chocolate pudding never really thickens and for that reason I have always felt deprived of how the pudding should taste. Do not get me wrong because the flavor is spot on and really tastes great but the issue I mention is that it feels like I am eating chocolate soup because it never becomes firm.
I have made it and let it sit a few hours, I have let it sit overnight and I even have let it sit in the fridge for a couple of days and I have never been thrilled with the lack of firmness the chocolate pudding consistency. I will further admit that after I let it sit overnight it did thicken up somewhat, but yet it still falls short of my high pudding expectations. Just for the record I will also tell you that after letting it sit for a few days it thickened up so much it was not enjoyable at all. I do not recommend it sitting your fridge more than one day because it transforms itself into something I did not enjoy at all. It became very unpalatable and sort of liquid lumpy.
If I had to write this as a quick review of Medifast chocolate pudding it would be as such:
Medifast Chocolate pudding has a high degree of rich chocolate flavor but it more closely resembles chocolate soup when eating. If you do not mind eating a pudding that does not assume a solid mass, you will enjoy the treat. If you need to have your pudding somewhat firm, you may be disappointed. Overall the flavor is great, it is just the consistency that ends up being disappointing.
Will I order Medifast chocolate pudding again? More than likely I will not… but only because I do not personally enjoy great tasting chocolate soup. ![]()
