Getting Tired Of The Biggest Loser?
Am I the only one that is getting tired of The Biggest Loser? I have been a faithful viewer since season one and now I must admit that I grow bored with the show. It has become a show of normal, everyday people that are increasingly more obese being paraded across my TV screen that really do not want to play the “game” until the end of the season. What the show has become is not what the show started off to be when it all began.
Granted there is no doubt that Bob Harper and Jillian Michael’s made their millions on the show and now that are all about “not” playing the game in the house. Now the entire show is centered around everyone bonding and “game-play” is frowned upon. When there are signs of game-play, the show is edited to shed a negative light around the player that has demonstrated game-play. Once a player is accused of game-play, (ie: drinking alot of water right before a weigh in) Bob and Jillian lunge on them verbally in disgust. The we, the audience, is inundated with the fact that the players on the show are there to get their lives back and that it needs to be more about saving the lives than winning the Biggest Loser prize money. Let’s also not forget all the money future employment will bring for the winner of The Biggest Loser title.
Me, as the viewer see fat people everywhere I go today. When I go to Wal-Mart I see fat people that have grown so largethey need to have motorized shopping carts and if I wanted to see the reality of fat people that needed to be saved I would just go pull up a chair at Wal-Mart. I have grown tired of all the kumbaya, we love one-another and we need to save the fat people of the world attitude on The Biggest Loser Ranch. I am hoping that the show gets back to its roots and the scheming and the plotting gets some more air-time.
I feel as if The Biggest Loser audience is growing tired of the Brotherhood of The Biggest Loser. Some nameless person gets on the ranch and within one season they are trainers or spokespersons for some product or diet plan. Whatever happened to a fat person getting on the ranch and being a sneaky, plotting and cheating player that wants to lose the weight AND win the money and the contracts? Sure it is great to lose weight, but it would be much more entertaining to see some good old fashioned American scheming and plotting and deception on the set of The Biggest Loser Ranch. I watch the show to be entertained….let’s not forget that trivial fact!
Over the last 10 seasons the show has become a watered down shadow of season one. Unless the show starts to shake it up somewhat it will lose popularity among the viewers that have been a cult following of sorts. If they do not show some more plotting and gamesmanship it will not matter what they place on the walls of the Biggest Loser gym to distinguish the season being different. On Season 10 they placed a pattern on the walls of the gym, and in the future seasons the visual shakeup will mean nothing as it will not matter. In the future there will be just alot of players working out at the gym and there will be few viewers. The majority of the viewers will start to change the channel or just not tune in to the show at all.
Fewer viewers will mean a cancelled show. A cancelled show will mean no more saved fat people. It seems as if the political correctness of The Biggest Loser will be what does the show in, which means it will be canceled. Should they cancel The Biggest Loser?…No, not yet, but it appears to be getting quite the boring show. I, a faithful viewer will give it one more season and after that….who knows because I am really tired of all the love and compassion that is at the elimination every episode. If the players keep crying each and every time a person gets sent home I think I will puke or something. What ever happened to the players just wanting to lose weight AND win a heck of alot of money? When did winning the game become a bad motivator? When did plotting to stay on the ranch become a bad thing? If the show does not shake up my emotions more than it has for the last few seasons I will be forced to just stop watching, and that is sad, because it used to be a really good show.
Biggest Loser Marine Corps Episode November 2, 2010

The Biggest Loser and The United States Marine Corps met on the little screen of television for the first time on November 2nd 2010, at the Marine Corps Base, Camp Pendelton. This episode was long awaited and since I spent ten years in The Corps and I spent ten years watching and writing about The Biggest Loser, I felt compelled to pen this entry. I left The Corps after ten years of service about 22 years ago. I have been struggling to lose weight for the about the last 15 years and this episode has been the culmination of my weight loss. As I sat and watched the Biggest Loser meet and train with The United States Marine Corps I was reminded of my own weight loss journey. Tonight was the night that I truly felt like a Biggest Loser and a Marine all rolled into one.
Tonite’s episode… the players that were left on the show were whisked off to Camp Pendleton where they started to live, train, eat and sleep like United States Marines. Although I would have liked to have seen more of them training like they were Marines, but the entire show was sort of fast forwarded because of the national elections. The elections tonight also added to the delicious flavor of triumph for the evening. The greatest episode of my favorite show ever was cut to one hour tonight, because the Republicans were in the process of re-taking control of the political helm of America. This made the entire evening that much more special and motivating.
The three great events that happened tonight were almost as if the Gods of the universe were setting things right in my world. This evening was a major event for the following reasons.
- The Marine Corps was shown on The Biggest Loser
- The Biggest Loser contestants got to train like Marines at an official USMC base
- The Socialist agenda of Obama has bee derailed
I was so motivated by the events of this evening that I got up and completed a three mile run once I was done watching the show. My motivation and inspiration for the three events were like the stars in the sky all lined up to make me happy. If you do not think a three mile run was much to brag about then let me take a moment to tell you my story.
- Six months I used to weigh 297.6 pounds
- Six months ago I could not run 100 feet
- Six months Obama and Congress were in total control
Tonight my world has changed for the better and here is why.
- I weigh 192.4 pounds
- I can now run 3 miles+
- Obama lost control of Congress
Yes, tonight is a night to be remembered. I lost the first forty pounds using my BodyBugg and I lost the last 65 pounds using Medifast
. BodyBugg taught me about calories in and calories out, which was vital to my ability to lose weight. After I realized I had trouble managing my calories in, I tried Medifast and the rest was weight loss history. Tonight I felt free as I was able to be able pick up my body and move it over a three mile path, at a fast jog. I may no longer be an active duty Marine Corps member and I may not be a Biggest Loser player and I might not be a politician, but tonight was a night to remember.
As all Marines I will always be a Marine and because of the pride, motivation and dedication I once held, The Biggest Loser pushed me back onto the path of weight loss, which has allowed me to feel like a Marine once again.
I basked in the glow of tonight’s Biggest Loser Marine Corps Episode because…
- Obama is doomed politically, as of tonight’s elections.
- I feel fit like a Marine again.
- I feel like I am truly a Biggest Loser winner….all is right with the world!
What a great day it has been!!!
Ooh Rah!

Marine Corps On Biggest Loser November 2 2010
The Biggest Loser and The United States Marine Corps are teaming up for the first time in history to film an episode that will air for the first time on November 2 2010. Since I served 10 years in The Corps I am so looking forward to see this episode. I have watched The Biggest Loser for 10 seasons now and have written many articles on the comparisons of Marine Corps Boot Camp and the tactics of Jillian Michaels and Bob Harper on The Biggest Loser. Granted I think Bob is a major liberal, I have always felt as if he may have made a good Marine Drill Instructor. Overall I believe that Jillian would be the tougher instructor but overall they have the potential to do well.
The episode that airs for the first time on November 2 2010 has been eagely anticipated even before the start of seasaon 10 when they showed some short snippets of the episode. I have watched each week hoping for a glimpse of The Corps appearing on The Biggest Loser. Since I now know that they will be on the November 2 2010 episode I will be sure to not only be ready to watch it I am stoked to watch it!

If you are here looking to get some information about how the Biggest Loser players are able to lose weight we bet that you also have been wondering what it that thing on the arms of all the players? That black band that you see on all of the players arms is called the BodyBugg and that is one of the reasons the players have been able to shed all of the weight that they lost during the show.
Granted Bob Harper and Jillian Michaels made them sweat it off, but the reality is that which BodyBugg was able to show them how, through the use of their BodyBugg worn on their arms. It is a sophisticated device that is extremely easy to use. This device is a tool they wear that will display much needed and relevant information about what they need to personally accomplish to lose weight.
BodyBugg on the Biggest Loser is a weight loss tool that keeps track of how many calories a person is burning and with that information it becomes easy to manage how many calories can be eaten, to obtain weight loss. Granted that on The Biggest Loser they are burning many more calories than you or I would, but the principle is the same. On The Biggest Loser they exercise for hours on end while most people can only exercise for an hour or less per day.
The BodyBugg is a great tool that is used on The Biggest Loser and it can be a great tool to get off the couch for the new season and help you put a dent in your weight loss numbers. BodyBugg is endorsed by Bob Harper and Jillian because it works. The players wear it because it works. If you were to wear it weight loss could be a reality in your life also.
