It was not too long ago that I was watching The Biggest Loser and I kept seeing this thing on their arms.  I kept wondering each and every episode just what that band was and why they were wearing it on their arm.  I even noticed that all of them were wearing it on their left arm.  I started to search around the web and I found out that what it was is called the BodyBugg.  At first I thought it was just another commercial that is built into the show and did not pay much attention to the whole thing.  Then, over time, I noticed that they almost always had it on, except when they were in the water.  I have been following The Biggest Loser every season so far and about two years ago I even managed to get off the couch to lose a few pounds, before I gained it all back again!  I am not a wealthy person, so spending the $199.00 for the thing was never in the zone that I could afford.  Then fate stepped in and my life has been changed for the better….forever!

Working here at RayDell Inc. I came in one day and there was a request for anyone who was willing to volunteer to try out BodyBugg in exchange for writing reviews for this website.  A couple of us signed up and a few days later I received a brand new BodyBugg in the mail.  I tried it on and thought the whole thing was pretty cool.  I am not that computer savvy and I was able to use all of the computer stuff with no problem at all.  When I received the BodyBugg I never realized how it was going to affect me and change the way I look at weight loss forever.

You would think that someone with as much knowledge about weight loss as I have, I would have no trouble being thin and being able to exercise a few times every week.  When I strapped on the BodyBugg that first day I knew everything I would enter into the computer would only been seen by me, so I had nothing to be shy about.  After a week I received a phone call from a personal coach that worked for BodyBugg.  She went through a ton of information about how the thing worked and how to navigate their website.  She waited until I had it a week so I would understand a little about how it all worked.  That 45 minute call was included in the price and it was very useful overall.  Also included in the purchase price of the BodyBugg was being able to access the BodyBugg website to upload all the needed information.  YES! You do need to be able to get onto the BodyBugg website to be able to use the BodyBugg.  Without the 6 month access, the BodyBugg is useless.  At first I thought to myself   AAHHAA!!! That is how they get you, but after awhile I have come to realize that the website is where all of the technology of BodyBugg comes together.  The website is where it all clicks and where the weight loss motivation starts to grow and spread into every fiber of your being. 

The thing about BodyBugg is that there is no escaping the reality of your daily actions.  You eat, you move and you upload it all to the website and out pops and answer.  Right there in front of your eyes, in the same private space you are reading this, you will see the results of all your decisions.  Right there on your computer monitor you will see how much weight you either gained or lost for that day.  There is no escaping the actions and the choices that you have made. Ifyou over ate, you will see how much weight you gained.  If you exercised and burned more calories than you ate, you will see how much weight you lost.  It is that simple!

The most interesting thing that I realized with BodyBugg is that I now hold myself accountable for my actions as if I am always being watched.  I feel as if I have to make that number right each and everyday.  I have had the BodyBugg for about three months and I have lost right at 30 pounds.  I remember all of the mornings that alarm clock would ring and I pulled myself up and to the health club.  No longer could I hide from the actions that I chose to do, day in and day out.  No longer could I ignore how many calories I would eat at the drive thru.  No longer could I act as if I was unaware that the weight was clicking up to almost 300 pounds.  I have to admit that because of BodyBugg I have been able to make better choices whether that be at the dinner table or deciding whether or not to exercise. 

This is the first time that I sit down to watch The Biggest Loser and do not feel frustrated because I am not making better choices.  This is the first time that I have been able to watch Bob Harper and Jillian Michaels train their players and have no inner regrets that I am a couch potato.  For the first time I feel like I am The Biggest Loser and I have to thank BodyBugg for that tiny little fact that has given me back my health, confidence and my motivation to succeed.
