BodyBugg Review; How Does BodyBugg Work?
I received my BodyBugg and I have worn it for three days now and after uploading my information a couple of times I was asked by a coworker “How does BodyBugg work?” I must admit I was a bit shy of the knowledge needed to answer that question so I came home and did quite abit of research to educate myself. I set up to gather all of the needed information, so the next time someone asks me how it works, I will have the answer ready to go.
I was fairly impressed to discover that bodybugg is the most accurate device in the world today for measuring calorie expenditure, when not in a hospital or some major medical study. It is fair and accurate to say that for you and I, the BodyBugg is the best device available that will help us track our caloric intake. Trying to dig deeper past all of the sales pitch stuff, I have been able to gather that the BodyBugg really contains sensors that keep track of different events going on in one’s body. Let us take a look at those sensors and explore how they do what they do.
Before we explore how each of the four sensors work it is important to know that what makes BodyBugg such a potent weight management tool, is that the sensors all work together. It is the combination of these sensors working together that provides such and accurate assessment of the events going on inside one’s body. There is no other tool in the world that combines the information as BodyBugg and that is what makes it stand apart from any other product. BodyBugg is an effective weight management tool that is not just for weight loss. Whether a person is looking to lose weight, gain weight or just maintain weight, the BodyBugg will allow a person to achieve results that were unheard of years ago. It provides the user with the information of how their body is reacting to dieting and exercise.
Physiological Sensors
The combining of information that BodyBugg receives from the sensors is what sets it apart from a pedometer or a heart monitor. It is this multi-sensor approach that sets BodyBuggin a world all it’s own. The list of sensors is short, but very, very effective when the information from each sensor is combined with the information from the other sensors. In a sense, BodyBugg becomes a weight loss brain that does not get sucked into a person’s emotions.
Accelerometer
This sensor measures movement of the body. To get real technical, the tiny BodyBugg contains a tri-axis micro-electro-mechanical sensor. It collects data on gravity, g-forces and motion and then by adding that received information of the other sensors, helps calculate calories. in fact, this method yields a very high degree of accuracy never before seen available to the general public.
Heat Flux
To explain this is very simple because the warmer a person’s skin becomes, the more calories that are are being burned. This sensor is proprietary and also is the most advance technology of its kind available to the general public today. The hotter the body becomes the more calories that are being burned.
Galvanic Skin Response
This sensor is what you see on the unit itself. It is the two” hypo-allergenic” stainless steel electrodes that are plainly visible on the underside of the BodyBugg. The science is simple and easy to understand on this sensor and it has to do with skin conductivity. When you sweat your skin becomes more electrically conductive. This helps the device understand how active you are at any given moment.
Skin Temperature
There is a thermometer inside the unit so when a person exercises the unit can sense the temperature change. When the temperature increase, the calories being burned increase also.
What you need to take away from this information that it is not one sensor that makes the BodyBugg so effective, it is the combination and collation of information that puts it all together. There is no product in the world today that is so effective and if you are serious about weight loss, weight gain or even weight maintenance, BodyBugg may be the answer you have been seeking all of these years.

I bought a bodybugg about a month ago and I really enjoy it. I like knowing how many calories I burn in a day. The company has been nothing but helpful since I started this program. After a while of wearing it I don’t even notice it anymore. It really has helped to give me that extra push. It comes with a 3 month subscription to the online program and after that you do have to buy more time online. Overall if you are into seeing exactly what happens when you are sedentary, exercising or even cleaning your home. I would recommend it. The woman on the phone did tell me they are coming out with a smaller more precise version the end of this year so you might want to wait to buy it.
I give it two thumbs up!
i too use pedometer since years, but i was not aware with such products, i will surely review about it and will buy too if i will find it more useful, this will be better idea rather than going to Gym and burn some calories.
I’ve been using pedometer for couple of years and it helped me to start walking more than I used to. Now I bought BodyBugg and it’s even more fun. I hope it would really help me lose some weight and burn some calories.
Skin Temperature rises when you eat because it is a physical activity. The problem is that the amount a person eats is all too often MUCH more than what is burned when eating. An exception to that is celery.
Interesting product. Now if only it could tell us how much calories we gain while eating…. that would be just amazing!
Does skin temperature rise or fall when we eat some food??
