Is BodyBugg accurate?
There are many websites that tout that it is 80% or even 90% effective, and it is great they are confident enough to be able to rehearse those figures to the world.  We are a bit more reserved and also give BodyBugg very high kudos for the accuracy that is provided, but we shy away from percentages.  This is not because we doubt, it is because we must remember it is only a tool that helps us make better decisions.  Just last week my unit forecast I should lose 6 pounds, based upon my calorie burn for the week.  I lost 6.2 pounds, so yes, for me BodyBugg was, and is very accurate, but we still will refrain from spouting off a percentage.  We know it is accurate because our office staff has been using them and for everyone they have proven to be good indicators of calorie burn and weight loss.  To date, it is the most accurate tool that is available to the general public.

Does The BodyBugg use the heart rate to calculate calorie burn?
No, The BodyBugg does NOT use heart rate as factor in calorie burn.  This is partly because heart rate is not the best thing to factor into the computations.  An example that would skew the results would be if someone were on medication.  NO, heart rate is not used to calculate calorie burn when using The BodyBugg.

That’s pretty cool that you can wear the BodyBugg for seven days before needing to charge it. I saw it on TV before, and I wondered exactly how it worked.
