BodyBugg, iPhone and BlackBerry…A Lack of App
We have had many requests for information asking if BodyBugg has information that can be accessed through a cell phone, such as an iPhone or a Blackberry. The big question is if there are any apps that work with the BodyBugg. We are sad to report that the technology that surrounds the BodyBugg is so new to the market that it has not kept pace with cell phone technology. As of the date of this publication there is no known or available app that works with BodyBugg. We hope that one day the entire Bodybugg experience will catch up with the available technogy that is all around us in the world today.
NOTICE: SINCE THIS ARTICLE WAS WRITTEN THERE HAS BEEN THE CREATION OF AN IPHONE APP.
Also the BlackBerry
If you looking for information about a FREE app for BodyBugg to be used with the iPhone, or the BlackBerry, please follow this link to a newer, updated article ON THIS WEBSITE.
The BodyBugg may be the most advanced calorie management system available to the public today, outside of clinical studies, but it is a shame the technology is not as advanced so as to be compatible to a person’s iPhone. This is not to say that BodyBugg does not work, it is just a statement in fact that the technology in BodyBugg still has room to mature and grow. We guess this is not something foreign to the makers of BodyBugg, we just hope that one day we will be able to sit down in a restaurant and enter all the needed information right into the BodyBugg online program. Unfortunately the technology of the iPhone, and Blackberry do not support the needed Java program, so it is currently impossible to even gain entry to the needed BodyBugg website to enter the needed information.
The end result is that at this moment you cannot use your cell phone to enter the required information about your eating habits directly to the Internet. Until the day where the technology can allow the two to work together you are stuck with your cell phone camera, voice recorder or notebook to make the notes needed to complete the required food log. Knowing how often people eat out and how important it is to accurately enter the foods consumed, this linking of the two technologies can’t be too far off in the timeline. Until that time you can also record what you have eaten on a piece of paper with a pencil. At least that technology is available today.

It would be sooooo nice to see an app for this. I have been using the bb for over a year, and reading the message boards all that time.
One of the biggest issues people face is accurately logging their food. Having an extensive database is one thing Apex has improved to help with this.
The other fix ix to enable us to log our food as we eat it, where we eat it. Otherwise people will continue to forget.
Nice article. It was helpful and informative. i would really like to see BodyBugg as an app, it is needed.
There are several calorie management apps that have recently been released. I am working on a fitness app to allow people to build diet and exercise plans along with tracking their progress. Using the accelerometer people have managed to program pedometers and other exercise tools.
