One Response to Body Mass Index (BMI) Chart For Adults

  • Hithere. Are there a more accurate method to see if your body measurements are healthy other than Body mass index? The BMI doesn’t tell anything about, if it is healthy mucles or just stubborn fat.

ICT RESPONSE: The BMI is a guidline and nothing more. If you are not a weight lifter, it is accurate. Most over weight people dispute the validity of BMI being accurate, but in reality it is very accurate for most individuals. When an obese person says thay are big boned or muscular we just smile, nod and quietly acknowledge that this is a politically correct world we live in and let it go at that.

The BMI is a very accurate tool to gauge how much weight a healthy person needs to be. If you are reading this and are obese…chances are there is not enough muscle to influence your BMI. If you are obese and the BMI seems unrealistic, you just need to face reality and do something about your weight. If you think it is too low then lose what you think you need to do and then decide. When you get there, you too will see just how overweight you were and just how accurate the BMI really is.
